Eloise was sulking

Eloise was sulking. She had her arms crossed and her bottom lip stuck out in a pout as she turned her back on Sirius, James and Remus who were stood at the end of Sirius' bed where she sat.

"Belle, you've got to understand why we're doing this." James said with a pleading tone but Eloise just 'hmphed' and continued to face away from them.

"Come on, Puff. Please talk to us." Remus asked as Eloise shuffled further away from them. "You know we couldn't bear for anything to happen to you." The tall boy continued, "We love you too much. You're my little Puff...but you know how Moony gets..." He placed a hand on her shoulder but she shrugged him off. Remus sighed and both he and James turned to Sirius. The long haired boy sat down on the end of the bed and began to twirl the ends of Eloise's brown hair between his fingers,

"Love." He whined, "You know that I want nothing more than to have you by my side." He said and waited for a reply but was met with silence, "You're stronger than us all but it's not just you we have to worry about, babe." He reached over and placed a hand on her stomach. The small bump wasn't hidden at that moment and he felt it under his palm. Sirius felt a smile tug at his lips but it soon turned to a gasp as he felt a small movement under his hand. Eloise must have felt it too...obviously, as she let out a small hiss of pain and placed a hand on her stomach. "Lou-"

"HE KICKED!" Eloise shrieked turning around and beaming at an elated Sirius,

"WHAT!?" James leapt over the bed and shoved Sirius' hand away, placing his own on Eloise. They waited for a moment but soon enough James let out an excited laugh as he felt a kick, "I felt it!"

"My turn! My turn!" Remus yelled and Eloise guided his hand to where she had felt the movement. Remus let out a gasp and grinned at Eloise and Sirius, "Well we know it's Sirius'." Remus said with a smile, "Such an attention seeker." He shook his head and Sirius smacked him upside the head,

"Leave my boy alone, Moony." He glared,

"Or girl." James interjected and Sirius and Eloise shared a look,

"I have a feeling it's a boy." Eloise said and James frowned,

"How do you know? We haven't performed a spell."

"Call it mother's intuition." Eloise shrugged with a smile,

"Back to the impending issue-"

"I want to come!" Eloise whined and she was quick to flash Remus the puppy eyes for which she was famous for,

"No! Elle, no! Don't- don't do that!" He protested, covering his eyes in fear of giving in. Eloise turned her face to Sirius who wasn't quick enough to avert his eyes and was stuck looking at her big, hazel orbs, unable to pull his gaze away,

"Please, Siri." Eloise asked in a soft voice, desperation swimming in the green of her eyes,

"N-no, love!" Sirius insisted, trying to tear his eyes away. Eloise leant forward and ran her hands through his hair, causing Sirius' eyes to close in bliss,

"Please, my love. Don't leave me here by myself! I get so lonely and cold!" she pouted and James, the only one immune to the eyes because he had them himself, scoffed,

"It's May, Belle." He pointed out and Eloise's eyes flashed from pleading to angry as she sent James a glare but they soon turned big again when she returned to face Sirius, "Please, baby-"

"No." Sirius sent Eloise a stern look and Eloise's puppy dog eyes broke as she retracted her hands from Sirius' hair and leant back on the headboard, the sulking look gracing her face once more,

"Just please leave the full moons for now, Puffity Puff." Remus pleaded but Eloise didn't look at him, she was too busy glaring at Sirius who was looking back at her with an equal stubbornness,

"Glaring at me like you're about to chop off my balls isn't going to make me change my mind, love." Sirius shrugged.

At that moment the door opened and Peter walked in,

"The coast is clear. Have you convinced her to stay behind yet?" He asked and an idea flashed across Eloise mind as she stood up and walked over to Peter, her eyes going large again as her bottom lip stick out once more,

"Please let me come, Petey."

"I'll take that as a no, then."

"I won't get hurt, promise!"

"No, Puff." Peter said assertively and Eloise crosses her arms dejectedly,

"I thought you'd understand, Peter." She said and Peter sighed, pulling Eloise into a hug and resting his cheek on the top of her head, having had a growth spurt and now standing more than a few inches over Eloise,

"We're only doing this because we love you, E." He said softly and Eloise huffed in annoyance, "You know how I-we would react if you got hurt, you and the baby." He rubbed her back, "Just stay here tonight yeah? We'll be back soon and if anything bad happens, you'll be the first to know." He reasoned and Eloise sighed,

"Okay, Petey." She pulled away and sent him a smile, "Just for you." She winked and sat back down on Sirius' bed. Peter looked rather proud of himself and James, Sirius and Remus all looked at him wide-eyed for having convinced Eloise to stay.

"I'm still annoyed at you three by the way." Eloise muttered to the other Marauders.

Eloise was still sulking as the boys began to leave. Sirius leant forward to kiss her goodbye but she turned her face so his lips connected with her cheek instead. Sirius sighed and stroked her hair,

"I'll be back in a few hours." He said, shaking his head slightly as Eloise continued to stare at the wall. The boys walked out of the door, casting one last guilty look at Eloise before they trekked the usual trek to the Whomping Willow, all of them unbeknownst of what was to come.
