"She said Yes!" Zi Wei happily announced the news to her fiancé.

Ma Si Chao, or better known as Kido, smiled at the news she shared and took her in his arms, planting a kiss on the top of her head. He knew how much she struggled with the decision to seek out the author of the book that reminded her of the traumatic events she went through almost four years ago. "I'm happy she did."

Zi Wei nodded. "I am really happy too."

"How was she?"

"She is very very nice although I think I caught her off-guard."

Kido isn't surprised by that. Even when he and Zi Wei first talked about this, he worried about the possible reactions the book author would have.

After all, the way she had written Zuer and Feiyu's story, Kido felt sure that Shen Yue had developed a closeness to the other two.

"It's a good thing she listened to you."

His fiancée smiled. "I got lucky because I met her Father first. Also, this is me. I doubt she would have been so kind if it was my brother."

He laughed. "She would have run away out of fear if she talked to DiDi."

"She probably would have. I saw how scared she was of him."

"Even I am afraid of your brother."

Zi Wei slapped his shoulder. "REALLY??? You tease my brother more than anyone else I know!"

He smirked. "Baobei... Xi Zi teases him more. Besides, aren't you used to me and your brother by now?"

"Exactly my point! Why would you even say you're afraid of him?"

He really wanted for her to ask this. With a smile as wide as the Nile River, he answered, "He could take you away from me, you know. That's the only thing I am afraid of."

She laughed aloud and punched him in the chest.

Kido and DiDi were classmates in highschool. He met Zi Wei when they were in their sophomore year.

He's always known how undeniably beautiful Zi Wei is but he never felt anything beyond brotherly affection for her during their younger years. She was still in grade school when they first met.

However, during their last year in College, he would often crash the Wang's family home for all-nighters because he and DiDi took up architecture and were even classmates in some of their subjects.

It was their passion – beautiful and awe inspiring structures.

However, while Kido was free to pursue what he wanted, DiDi had to focus on their family's business upon graduation because his Father was diagnosed with lung cancer.

They had an agreement before that right after graduation, the two of them would travel the world for inspiration and learning.

They had it all planned out – Italy, Spain, Greece. All the locations that the great masters of Architecture started, he and DiDi were going to visit all of them.

But since Kido eventually found himself doing it alone, he started with a blog where Zi Wei would sometimes comment and talk to him.

It was his way of letting people at home know how he was doing while it was Zi Wei's way of coping with the heart aches brought by the fear of possibly losing a father. He often talked to DiDi but more often than not, it was Zi Wei he got to speak the most to.

They started chatting despite the distance and she became the one person in the world he would first share his pictures with wherever he was.

Kido isn't sure if it was those conversations that made him fall for her but he was able to confirm what he really felt when he returned and saw her during his welcome back party.
