I was off the stage first, the crowd roaring behind me. I ignored this sprinting down the hallway to the dressing room. By the time the guys made it back I was almost finished wiping off the makeup I had on, scrubbing the layers of color off with a makeup wipe. I was out of my stage wear and in my Chat Noir costume again.
I threw the makeup wipe in the bin and ran my fingers through my hair. I turned to the guys, Trevor and Caleb were roughhousing over a stuffed animal that a fan threw onstage while Jake was leaning on the catering table flicking through his camcorder. Caleb ripped the stuffed dinosaur from Trevor's hand and locked him in a choke hold, both groaning and half laughing.
"You're not staying to hang out?"
Jake gave me a sad look, I frowned and shook my head.
"I can't, my friends are still at the stadium, they don't even know where I am right now."
Caleb and Trevor stopped fighting to whine about me never having time for them. Jake turned on his camera to distract them.
"Time for our post-show vlog!"
Jake takes videos of all of our adventures as a band on camcorders, he's been doing it for the two years we've all been a band. At first, our record label scolded him, but they quickly figured out that this could be a revenue point for them. The videos are archived after we film so that they won't be leaked and the footage will be used to make a documentary on the band once we inevitably reveal our identities in a few years.
Caleb grabbed Jake's hands, facing the camera towards him.
"Y/n is being a scrub and leaving us as soon as we finish."
Jake glared at him and turned the camera to himself, while roughhoused with Caleb in the background.
"On that note, it's October 31st, our second Halloween show. This year it's in Paris. Anything to add guys."
Trevor shrugged, half of his face smudged with neon blue makeup, the other half on his makeup wipe.
"Energy tonight was insane, we sold out for the seventh show in a row. We're all going out for food after this but Sparky is choosing her other friends over us."
He fake pouted, I turned to glare at him which Caleb took advantage of and hoisted me over his shoulder with a snort.
"Jake come over here- I'm not choosing anybody over you guys. I need to go back to them, they're probably worried."
"Ya because you pulled a Hannah Montana quick change on them."
I slapped Caleb on the shoulder after he finally finished spinning me in circles on his shoulder. He simply caught my hand and pulled me into a hug, I shook my head against his shoulder and squeezed him. I could hear the camcorder click off as the others joined the group hug and we stayed that way for a while.
"You guys should come to Paris for Winter break, maybe I'll even let you stay at my apartment."
All of them protested at my teasing while I snickered at their expense.
"I'll walk you to the security exit."
Trevor left no room for debate, grabbing his security badge on the way out. I nodded and gave Caleb and Jake one more passing hug.
The walk seemed quicker than it had been on the way here as if we couldn't walk slowly enough. We were in comfortable silence the whole way there, enjoying each other's presence for the short time we had left.
Trevor stopped right before we reached the security gate to the side of the stadium I had come in originally. He rubbed the back of his neck, uncharacteristically nervous.
