Admittedly it took longer than I thought it would to swim the trash bin around to the front of the building.

'Well technically the back, because we went out the front.'

My brain felt fogged from fatigue when our destination was finally in sight. I could see my friends on the roof, in a circle with other strangers all huddled together. Just as I was making my way over Kim jumped in the water, yelling something about how he could teach the others how to swim.

"Hey!"

Kim turned around to face me in the water. The others looked in my direction.

"Y/n! Are you ok?"

Rose yelled from the roof, Max pushed up his glasses.

"She appears to be fine."

"Ya, I'm all good!"

I waved then turned back to Ben who was peeking out of the top of the bin. I smiled at him, finding that I had more energy now that I knew we would be okay.

"On the count of three, I'm gonna give you a push and you're gonna have to steer the ship for a second. Can I count on you, Captain Ben?"

He nodded, saluted, and then held on to the sides in a ready position.

"3...2...1!"

I gave the bin one last large push-over to Kim who grabbed it and swam him over to the building. Luka scooped the kid up by the armpits and set him down on the roof to be fussed over by Alya.

I started to swim over to the group and I could feel the adrenaline wearing off.

"Here I gotcha dude."

Kim said as he grabbed my hand, pulling me over to the side of the building. Before he could fully get there the others a scared look flashed across the group on the roof faces, they were focusing on something behind us. I looked back just in time to see a blur of pink scales leap into the air. Before it turned downward on top of Kim and me, neither of us even had enough time to scream.

The scaly hands continued to drag us deeper into the water, water rushed past my face. I opened my eyes after we finally stopped. To see a girl holding Kim's shoulders talking to him about something I couldn't fully discern. The girl looked like a siren or mermaid, with vibrant pink scales all over, short hair to match, and two white horns. She blew a bubble as Kim struggled to respond, once it was large enough she put it inside Kim's head. He took a deep breath and looked like he could breathe.

I didn't want to abandon Kim but if I didn't get air soon I would drown. So I started to climb my way up to the surface. Claws encircled my ankle and yanked me down roughly, interrupting my attempt at escaping. The pink siren got up in my face with a scowl and grabbed my wrist baring her sharp teeth.

"Where do you think you're going? After touching my Kim you deserve to stay down here."

She sneered, evilly giggling. I tugged away as I shook my head, trying in vain to swim up. After giving me a final tug to the street, she left me at the bottom. My body was tired and my movements were slowing down, I could feel the burning in my lungs spread through my body. My vision started to get hazy as I felt the air leave me completely. My whole body stilled and I could barely feel anything besides cold weightlessness.

My eyes shot open, my vision was clouded and it took a bit to adjust to the light of the day. I could feel my back against the cold wet pavement, and once my vision cleared I could gaze at the blue sky through my wet lashes.

'What happened? Where am I?'

But then it all came back to me at once, like a dam breaking. I tried to sit up but just rolled onto my side and started coughing water. I could hear someone talking to me, but my ears felt like they were filled with cotton. Warmth exploded across the skin of my back as a hand laid itself there. As I continued to cough up my internal organs, I looked around to face the person. Chat Noir was kneeling next to me, his eyebrows furrowed.
