"What, so you just drop off the face of the earth during summer when you're on tour? Don't your friends question where you are?"

Nathaniel flicked the pencil we had been rolling across the table to one another in my direction. I retaliated after a second.

"Ya, we're not allowed to post anything on our private accounts in case our friends see that we're in the same place as BlueMoon and connect the dots. For the last few years I just pretended that I was studying abroad in Spain, and then when we performed there for the tour. I sent one of my managers to take a bunch of pictures of landmarks for me to post at the end of the summer."

"You really have to think about everything."

He rolled the pencil into my splayed fingers. This is how the last two days have been. Meet in the back corner of the library, pretend to be working, and answer questions. Right now we're just killing time until the cast list is posted, Marc had joined us for a bit but ultimately decided to go home.

"Ya, it's all I've ever known though. I lowkey feel like I came into consciousness when I started working for YBE."

"Aren't you ever tired of keeping up appearances?"

I scrunch my nose up in displeasure.

"No?"

"Oh, that's convincing."

"Shut up, you butt."

"So you think Trevor saw your post?"

"Most likely, I mean he hasn't blocked me."

Nathaniel huffed a laugh, casting his gaze to the ceiling and leaning back in his chair.

"I can just imagine his reaction-"

"You've never met him in person."

He shot me a dirty look but carried on.

"It was probably akin to a punch in the gut."

My face must have given away how I felt because he nodded at me reassuringly.

"I think you had every right to post it, it was an asshole move on his part, to begin with. Make him pay."

I set the pencil on the table mutely, moving my hands up to run over my face. I didn't want to keep having to talk about this, time for a subject change.

"Who do you think is going to be Peter Pan?"

"Not sure, as long as Chloé isn't Wendy I'll be happy."

"Agreed I don't think her head could get any bigger, but that might just do it."

I rolled my eyes at the thought, focusing them back on my phone to check the time.

"The cast list should be posted now, we could go look then head over to that cafe on Montaigne Ave?"

"What if you were cast for a main part though?"

"I don't think I am, I mean I know I got a part because of what Louis said yesterday but it's probably ensemble so I wouldn't have to stay for the meeting."

"I wouldn't undersell yourself, you are a pop star."

"Could you please let me hold onto hope that I don't have to stay after today?"

I groaned, shooting him my ugliest side-eye. A grin split across his face, and he simply shrugged while he stood. I followed in pursuit, preparing my backpack and beginning to put on my winter coat. Once we were both ready we made our way to the exit pulling open the door to the courtyard. A gust of cold wind blew through my hair, sending a chill through me. The snow had yet to dissipate and the temperature had only dropped as we finally reached the winter season.
