I could barely register the sensation of his lips on mine, too shocked in the first few seconds of it to process anything. But I couldn't even bring myself to care. His lips were rough and his movements were needy like the dam had finally broken and the tension built up inside was finally released. And for a moment we didn't even touch, only our lips locked. Until the initial shock wore off.

One of my hands reached up to rest on his chest while the other found its way up to the blonde fringe on the back of his head, fingers curling into it. Chat caught up to speed quickly, cupping my cheek lightly and his other hand gripping my thigh. This continued for a few seconds the only sounds being the hums of approval with changes in hand placement. He wasn't my first kiss but he definitely was my best so far. Maybe it was the subconscious need, but he was playing me like a fiddle. Not being too rough or too soft, biting my lip from time to time, and moving my legs to hug his waist.

Chat suddenly switched to pulling me to sit up, gripping my waist firmly and lifting me so I was straddling him. He laid back lazily against the couch with one of his arms simply resting against the top as if he was watching a movie, the other a vice grip on my lower waist keeping me in place. We were snug to one another with our chests staying flush to each other. His nonchalantness annoyed me but at the same time drew me in.

We hadn't separated for air yet and I couldn't tell if that was the reason I was lightheaded or if the nerves were the root of the problem. I moaned into the kiss, pushing forward into it, as he squeezed my waist tightly. His claws are just barely making an indentation in my skin. Finally, after a few more seconds, we pull away from one another panting, his eyes unwavering from mine. His gaze was downright lustful as he looked at me as if imagining his deepest desires.

"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that."

Those were the words that broke me out of the trance of lustful passion, he must have seen the look pass across my face because he frowned and thumbed at my jaw lightly.

"This is so- oh god... this is bad."

"Why?"

I paused. Why was this a bad thing?

"Because... well-you're a hero."

"And? I can kiss the girl I like."

"Chat I don't know you."

I pleaded this must have been what got to him. His brows pinched together behind his mask. I lifted myself off of him and slumped against the couch.

"Ya but that doesn't mean we can't-"

"I don't know your friends, your hobbies, where you go to school- god I don't even know your name!"

He looked at me sternly, turning to face me head-on.

"I'll tell yo-"

"No."

I put a hand on his shoulder, my face pinching into a plea.

"Chat this is wrong and you know it, I need to know the full you if we were ever to pursue this. But you have a duty to Paris. You need to understand that telling me who you are only puts the both of us in danger."

"You sound like LB."

He scowled, I sighed and removed my hand. Opting to twist the ring he gave me on my finger.

"It's not just that, there are three other guys right now I can't sort my feelings out with. I'm not going to put us in a situationship when I don't even understand where my heart is at."

He stayed silent but I could feel his burning gaze on the side of my face.

"I get it if you don't want to hang out anymore, I know that's not the answer you wanted."
