Intro: "Hello! I'm a young author that goes by the pen name Alibi! I may be young but my life is busy! Of course writing is my world, I still have a future to fulfill, and with my experience, I can expand my writing and hope to create books you all enjoy!"
1) Where did your love of writing come from?
"My love of writing came from movies. I'm a HUGE science fiction nerd. Grew up with the classics at that. I soon got offered to write a script that is edited and turn into a film in the upcoming future! This all started at a very, very young age. "
2) If you were given the opportunity to form a book club with your favorite authors of all time, which writers would you want to become a part of the club?
"So...I may be a writer but I need to work on my reading skills. I can read fast but I don't read a lot. Perhaps that's my downfall of my writing. But if I could form a club with the best actors (since I only know so many names for books sorry) I would choose Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, and Robert John Downey Jr. Because I'm a huge science fiction nerd, I love action/ comedy too! OH AND THE ACTORS IN INTERSTELLAR!!! <3"
3) If you were to watch your favorite book turn into a movie, which would you choose? Or would you rather keep it stayed as a book?
"If ANY of my favorite books can be turned into a movie...hmmm... I would like all my favorite books stay as books but I can't wait till one day if my writing gets better...even better than how it was...I would love for one of my books turn into a film."
4) What famous author do you wish would be your mentor?
"Too many authors to choose from!!! Can I just have everyone as my mentor? Of course I have favorite authors but I would not like them to be my mentor. If I'm being completely honest, I want the people to be my mentor. To be there from the beginning and seeing me grow, I want to see them grow as readers, help me become a better author. So far, that dream has came true."
5) Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special?
"My favorite character I have written has to be Murphy Kittenlin and Coal. Murphy is from my story "Star Dust" cheesy I know... but one day I was sitting outside and the concept of time exploded inside me. I wanted time to live...yes as time is immortal I wanted it to have a life. So I created it. It being Murphy. She's a sensitive soul but strong mentally, her past was one of the hardest to create. I love creating her as every step I write of her, it'. Coal is from a book that I have not published, most likely never will. But MAN, the TWISTS I had with that character! He was the one who started my hobby of writing!"
6) What, according to you, is the hardest thing about writing? And how do you overcome it?
"The hardest thing about writing for me is names and grammar. Grammar is easy to fix with experience and time of course but NAMES. I can only come up with so much! I came up with Coal's (yes it's spelt like that) when I was SUUUUUUPER young. I usually try to name my characters off of things I love (I don't love the rock Coal, it's just he has some sort of powers that involved the color gold so I had to make his name the opposite for some reason??? I was weird back then....still am)."
7) If you could have been the original author of any book, what would it have been and why?
"If I could be the original author of any book...goodness this is a hard one. Look, I don't want to be the original author, by taking a fate that is yet to come by that author. But I wish I could see (not write.) history. History is written by the winner...always was, but I wish to see the truth. Not the story, I want to see the shadow that hides behind the light that surrounds itself in lies."
8) What is the best piece of advice you have ever received, that you would like to share with us?
"The best piece of advice I have ever received may not be connected to books at all...but it's from a game. "The light lives in all places...in all things. You can block it, even try to trap it, but the light will find its way."
-The Speaker
If you care to know why that is one of the best, there is more to the lore than words my friends! Tread carefully!"
