Rachel's p/v
I'm so nervous I think my hands are going to fall off from how shaky they are. Good thing we have time to change into our outfits for the rally because I wouldn't have been able to breathe properly in the turtleneck. I'm already having trouble breathing, the turtleneck would just kill me right then and there.

My outfit is more of less sweat-proof. Purple crop top with a green butterfly in the middle. black overalls, and my black high top converse. I have pit stains and they are so noticeable but oh well, nothing I can do about them.

Mary walks into the class. Looks like her outfit isn't sweet-proof either. Dark gray Harley Davidson t-shirt, light blue denim loose jeans, red brown docs, and a blue and white floral long shoulder bag. Going for that 90s look I see.
"Good morning Tyler and Rachel."
"Good morning." Tyler replies.
"Good morning." I reply too. I lied, there's nothing good about this morning.
"Are you guys excited about our performance." Mary twirls a piece of her hair.
"I'm more nervous than excited." Tyler says.
"Me too. I'm sweating buckets."
"You'll be fine, Tyler. And you Rachel," she looks at me in the eye, "just don't mess up."
"Yeah, I'm not planning on messing up."
"Good because this rally depends on my career."
I roll my eyes. "One high school rally isn't gonna get you to Hollywood. We literally live in Maryland."
"Great artists come from humble backgrounds."
I laugh. "You? Humble? Instead of becoming a singer you should be a comedian."
"I don't think you understand how important this is to me."
"No, I don't understand. If anyone messes up that's on us, not you."
"Great artists also grow up with other great artists. I need connections."
"No one is taking this rally seriously, trust me."
"You don't know that. Rosemary wants to be a singer too."
"I'm going to mess up on purpose."
Mary crosses her arms. "Can you just let me be happy for once?"
"Rachel, there's no point in fighting with Mary. You're either jealous of her talent or you like to torment people for fun."

My mouth drops. Did Tyler actually say that to me? I feel like I was yelled at by the chillest teacher. Ouch.
Mary leans back in her chair, puts her foot on the leg of the chair in front of her, and looks around the room. If she was someone else I'd say "unbothered queen", but it's Mary so smoke is coming out of my ears. Her outfit is doing her good with the attitude she has. I just gotta make up an embarrassing scenario for her in my head. The girl with glasses tries to act cool but fails miserably after breaking the chair. That'll do.

Us girls are in the bathroom changing into our clothes. The boys are already changed and are waiting for us in the gym. I'm currently applying lipstick. Piper and Rosemary are next to me brushing their hair.
"How many more minutes until we go on?"
"15 minutes. You asked me that question 3 minutes ago." I say.
Rosemary puts down her hairbrush. "I'm just so nervous. This is my first performance ever."
"You're going to do great, don't stress. Just think about what Mary said; think about the applause." Piper sage.
Rosemary giggles. "That girl is something else. Where is she anyway?"
Erica steps out of the bathroom stall. She looks up at the ceiling.
"I know where Mary is."
Rosemary and Piper turn to look at Erica. She's still looking up at the ceiling.
"Where is she then?"
"Before I share my knowledge, I must first sing a song I wrote yesterday when I was trapped in my mom's car."
Piper looks at me. I shrug.
"Ok, sing your song." Rosemary leans against the sink.
Erica clears her throat. "When the dream is over and all the strangers are done, my heart beats on. I spilled the wine, I cut my lip, I raised my arm to catch my sneeze. To fuck your mom I must cheat on your husband. Fuck me harder, Tom Holland."

I look at Piper in confusion. Rosemary was so shocked that she dropped her hairbrush in the middle of Erica's song.
"Did you like it?" Erica asks with enthusiastic
"That was um...that was definitely something." I muster out.
Piper looks at Rosemary. "Yeah um, that was something."
Erica looks up at the ceiling. "Thank you, Jesus."
"So, where's Mary?" I ask.
"Oh I have no idea, I just wanted your guy's attention."
Rosemary throws her arms up in the air. Piper starts laughing. I've never been more confused in my entire life.
