ONE MONTH LATER
Marcus P.O.V.
"Alright, feasts your eyes on this baby."
I stood infront of the mirror, and watched Candice place a chain around my neck.
"10 Karat Cuban Link yellow gold with genuine diamonds."
I could feel the chills run down my spine, as she placed the ice around my neck.
"What do you think?" She placed one hand on her hip, as she looked at my reflection in the mirror.
"It's icy.....icy as fuck......I fuck wit' it."
She chuckled. "I thought you would, Alright, so ima have you wear this, with that white button down with the yellow detailing, and some black fitted pants...maybe we can undo a button or two on the shirt, just so the chain can show through."
I nodded. "Ight, you the expert,"
She chuckled. "Good. I'll deliver it to you tonight, once we get the pants tailored a bit more, and please, don't forget, when you wear the chain to that Pro Bowl event, be careful, a friend of mine did me a huge favor letting you borrow this chain, meaning, I need it back tommorow evening when you get back, got it?"
I smirked. "For the millionth time, I got it Candice, damn, what, you don't trust me?"
"Don't make me answer that."
I laughed.
"Alright, I got another client to meet in a 45 minutes, so Im gonna get out of here, let me help you with this."
She stood behind me, about to remove the chain for me, when I heard Kelia's voice.
"I got it."
She stood up from the couch she was sitting on, and made her way over to me. Candice moved to the side, letting her take her place behind me.
I cleared my throat awkwardly, letting her remove the chain from my neck. "There you go," She said, handing it over to Candice.
"Thanks." She placed the chain back in it's case, and put everything back in her bag. ".....My assistant will be in touch later today to drop off the final look.....you two have a wonderful evening."
She looked over at Kelia, before swiftly walking over to the front door, letting herself out. Once she was gone, I turned to Kelia and frowned.
"Wassup witchu??"
"What you talkin about?"
"You know what Im talkin about," I started. "What's yo deal with Candice?"
She shrugged. "I don't got no deal," I sucked my teeth. "Im being forreal ma, wassup withcu? You ain't feeling her?" She rolled her eyes.
"Am I feeling some random woman who strolls her ass in our house every other week, to touch all on you, and dress you? I think you can answer that question yourself."
I sighed. "She don't even be touchin all on me, and her job is to dress me for events, that's normally what image consultants do."
"That ain't even a real job," She mumbled. "Lia." I started. "Wassup wit you? Ever since I signed with Jared a month ago, you've been giving me nothin but salt lately, wassup? Talk to me."
"Ain't nothing to talk about,"
I sucked my teeth. "It obviously is, I can tell you feel some type of way, I thought you would be happy for me, Im only a few months into my career, and Im already signed with a good ass agent, I finally got some minutes on the field, and thanks to Jared, he hooked me up with Candice to help me work on my image for any team events, and eventually solo events hopefully....so many good things is poppin off this year baby, so wassup with all the salt??"
