Marcus P.O.V.
"Damn, you really outdid yourself with this one C,"
I took a slight step back, admiring the fit Candice had put together for me.
"That's my job," she smiled as she stood beside me, dusting off the shoulders of my suit.
"Every outing is a photo op, and now that your name is starting to get a little buzz, we gotta make sure you look fly at every event you go too."
I nodded. "Ight note taken,"
"And who are you wearing tonight?"
"The suit is Tom Ford and the shoes are Christian Louboutin,"
She smiled widely as she nodded her head as if she was impressed. "Good, so if someone asks who you're wearing tonight please remember....and feel free to shout your girl out."
I chuckled. "I gotchu, but aye, thanks for coming through for me tonight, I appreciate you."
"I'm your image consultant Marcus, it's my job....but you're welcome. And remember, you look the part, so be the part, let that confidence shine through with whoever you meet tonight,"
I nodded. "Yeah I got it, thanks ma."
She zipped up her last few bags before making her way out of my hotel room.
Once she was gone, I stepped back into the bedroom, just for Delilah to be walking in behind me.
"Awww," she started, putting in her earrings. "That was cute, I heard her little pep talk,"
I chuckled. "Whatever, Candice is cool as hell, and you stay coming through with looks for your boy,"
She looked me up and down, nodding her head. "I can agree with that, you look damn good.....but how long have you been working with her?"
"Ion know, not that long, my manager hired her for me, she only styles me for events, and every now and then she'll put my name out there for business deals, but that's about it."
"Mmmm, she's very pretty,"
I looked her up and down, taking in how elegant she'd looked. "You're very pretty," I started. "You look beautiful,"
She smiled. "I still got rollers in my hair, but I look beautiful? Stop tryna gas me,"
"I'm not, you look good, what I gotta lie for?"
"Mhmm right, you probably say that to all your girls,"
I chuckled. "Nah, just the really pretty ones,"
She sucked her teeth, pushing me off of her. "You're annoying you know that?"
"I maybe have heard that one or two times,"
I wrapped my arms around her waist, placing a quick kiss on her neck.
"Ight come on, Jared sent a car for me and I'm sure it's downstairs."
"Okay, let me get my purse,"
I walked over to the suite door, holding it open. "Ladies first,"
Aliyah P.O.V.
I quickly wiped the tear that rolled down my cheek, as I continued to do my hair at the vanity in Ronnie and I's guest room.
