Chapter 40: Sign

Sakura-sensei: "Sore wa imanotokoro subetedesu. Dono shitsumon?" (That's all for now. Any question?)

-Silent-

Sakura-sensei: "Jā ōkē. Kurasu wa kikyaku shimashita." (Okay then. Class dismissed.)

Class prep: "Sutando, yumi." (Stand, bow.)

Sakura-sensei left the classroom for lunch time. Everyone in class take out their bento (lunch box). Kireina and Kotori went to Sako's to eat together with her.

Kotori: "Nē, Sako-chan. Kyō anata no bentō ni wa nani ga arimasu ka?" (Hey, Sako-chan. What's in your bento today?)

Sako: "E? Nani nani? Katō no katei ryōri no aji o motte itaidesu ka?" (Heh? Nani nani? Want to have a taste of Kato home cooking?)

Kotori: "Īe īe! Sōde wa arimasen." (No-no. It's not like that.)

Sako: "Onii-chan! Kotōri wa,-"(Kotori want to-)

-Kotori cover Sako mouth-

Kotori: "Wakatta! Kare ni iwanaide kudasai!" (Alright! Please don't tell him!)

Kato: "Oshiete yo, nani?" (Tell me, what?)

Kireina: "Watashi wa kotori ga sukida to omou –"

Kotori: *Screams*

Everyone in class stared at Kotori. Kotori blushed and then sit on her chair.

Kato: *grin*

Sako: "Nani ga son'nani omoshiroidesu ka?" (What's so funny?)

Kato: "Īe,-betsu ni. Sore wa chōdo, watashitachi ga sukoshidattanode, 2-ri wa kawatte imasen." (No-nothing. It's just, you two haven't changed since we were little.)

Kotori and Sako looked at each other faces and grinned as well. They then begin to eat their bento and share their bento with each other.

Kazuma went to my sit and asked me to follow him to the rooftop. I agreed to follow and we went to the rooftop.

Sako: "(Onii-chan, doko ni iku no?" (Onii-chan, where are you going?) –Talking her mouth full-

Kato: "Kyō watashi no bentō o okujō de taberu tsumoridesu." (I'm going to eat my lunch at the rooftop today.)

Sako: "Ā. Sewa o suru." (Ouh. Take care.)

We arrived at the rooftop of school. We sat on the uncovered floor and started to eat our lunch.

Kazuma: "Nē, Katō. Anata wa watashi ga watashinoyume ni tsuite anata no itta koto o oboete imasu ka?" (Hey, Kato. Do you remember what I told you about my dreams?)

Kato: "Anata wa gārufurendo o shitai to iu koto?" (That you want a girlfriend?)

Kazuma: "Sono yumede wanai! Ekusoshisuto ni naru to iu watashinoyume." (Not that dreams! My dream of become an exorcist.)

Kato: "Ā, sono yume. Dōshite?" (Oh yeah, that dream. Why?)

Kazuma: "Ore wa sugu ni ekusoshisuto ni naru yona kanji o motte imasu." (I feel like I will soon be an exorcist.)

Kato: "Sore wa dōdesu ka?" (How is that?)

Kazuma: "Saikin, watashi wa aisukurīmu no yōna kūruna mono o amarini mo ōku taberu. Ore no furo de kōri de shawā o abite, ore wa watashinoheya no subete no fan o orenoheya ni iremashita. Ore wa hahaoya ni mo shikara remashita. Shinji raremasu ka?" (Lately, I eat too much cool stuff like ice cream. Shower with ice in my bath and I put all the fan in my house into my room. I was also scolded by my mother. Can you believe me?)

Kato: "Watashi wa anata ga sono yōna henjinda to iu koto o shirimasen." (I don't know that you're such a weirdo.)

Kazuma: "Watashi wa kawatta hitode wanai!" (I'm not a weirdo!)

Kato: "Hmm... OK."

Kazuma: "Anata wa watashi ga ekusoshisuto ni naru tame no sain no hitotsuda to omoimasu ka? (Do you think it's one of sign for me to become exorcist?)

Kato: "Watashi wa sō omou." (I think so.)

The bell rang showed the lunch break was over. We decided to end our conversation and went back to class. While I entering the rooftop door, I felt like someone were watching me. I turned my head back and saw nothing. So I went to the classroom with Kazuma.

-Someone was watching Kato from somewhere at the roof-

Mysterious girl: "Hmph. Dakara, Saguta Katō . Kare wa kawaīdesu." (Hmph. So that's Kato Saguta. He's pretty cute.)
