Chapter 57: Summer Festival – Part 1

The exam went on and ended after 5 days. We've trained every day at COSMO after school ends since then. Even Wendy didn't quite try and approached me for a while. It's the last weekdays of school before the summer vacation starts. All of the students have to prepare for the schools festival. The school's festival will be held on the day before the summer vacation starts. And here I am, sitting on my chair in the middle of argument between the male students and girl students to determine what our class should do for the schools festival.

Kiriha: "Itta yō ni, watashitachiha kosupureshō o suru hitsuyō ga arimasu!" (As I said, we need to do a cosplay show!)

That's Kiriha Masuzu. He's one of my classmate. He's an otaku. He's been arguing with Hana for a while now.

Hana: "Watashitachi, on'nanoko wa anata no iken ni dōi shinai! Watashitachiha matsuri no tame no kafe o motte irubekida to iu!" (We, girls do not agree with you boys' idea! We say we should have a cafe for the festival!)

Kiriha: "Kosupureshō!" (Cosplay show!)

Hana: "Kafe!" (Café!)

Kotori: "Chotto, chotto. Anata o 2tsu ochitsuka sete kudasai." (Hey-hey. Calm down you two.)

Hana: "Kotori-chan! Anata wa on'nanoko no aidea o shōnin suru hitsuyō ga arimasu! Hentai no otokonoko no aideade wa arimasen!" (Kotori-chan! You must approve the idea of the girls! Not the perverted, boys' idea!)

Kiriha: "Ha~a~tsu? Sore wa hentai shite inai!" (Huh? It's not perverted!)

Kotori: "Etto..." (Ermm...)

Wendy: -raise her hand- "Ore wa teian o suru koto wa dekimasu ka?" (Can I make a suggestion?)

Kotori: "Sakini susunde kudasai." (Go ahead)

Wendy: "Otokonokotoon'nanoko no aidea o kumiawaseru no wa dōdesu ka?" (How about combining boys' and girls' ideas?)

Kotori: "Kosupure kafe o suruhitsuyōgāru nodesu ka?" (Do you mean that we should do a cosplay cafe?)

Wendy: "Hai. Sorede dare mo manzoku surudeshou,-sōdesu ka?" (Then everyone will be satisfied, am I right?)

Kotori: "Sa, doshta?" (Are you two okay with it?)

Kiriha: "Kosupure--" (Cosplay--)

Hana: "Kafe..." (Café...)

Kotori: "Shitagatte, kettei sa reru. Kosupurekafe o tsukurimasu. Ima watashi wa anata ga iinkai no menbā o erabu hitsuyō ga arimasu," (Therefore, it is decided. We will make a cosplay cafe. Now I need you to choose the committee members,)

Kiriha&Hana: "Hai! Narimasu!" (Okay!)

Kato: "Saigo ni, sore wa owatta..." (Finally, it is over ...)

Hana: "Saguta Kato! Ore wa ryōri o atsukau hito ni naru koto o erabu!" (Kato Saguta! I choose you to be the chef.)

Kato: "Huh?"

Hana: "Sako-chan wa, anata ga sore de ī to iimashita. Dakara wareware wa anata ni tayorininarudeshou!" (Sako-chan said your good at cooking. So we'll be counting on you!)

Kato: "Demo..." (But...)

Sako: "Onii-chan!" (Brother!)

Sako looked at my face with stars in her eyes. She's really wanted me to handle the cooking. I smiled at her and then accepted Hana's request. Sako screams with joy while hugging Kireina's body.

Wendy: "Masuzu-san. Anata wa ishō ni tasuke ga hitsuyōdesu ka?" (Do you need help with costumes?)

Kiriha: "Hmm. Nuu koto wa dekimasu ka?" (Can you sew?)

Wendy: "Hai, dekimasu" (Yes I can.)

Kiriha: "Idaina! Anata wa haitte iru!" (Great! You're in!)

Wendy: "Arigatō" (Thank you.)

Kotori: "Nani o keikaku shite imasu ka?" (What are you planning?)

Wendy: "Mina no tame no kawaī ishō o tsukuritaidesu. Tokuni Katō-sama no tame ni." (I want to make cute costumes for everyone. Especially for Kato-sama.)

Kotori: "Ore wa anata ni me o hanasanaideshou." (I'll keep an eye on you.)

Hana: "Kotori-chan. Watashi wa shibaraku anata to hanashi o suru hitsuyō ga arimasu." (Kotori-chan. I need to talk to you for a while.)

Kotori: "Hai. Ima okonatteru." (Okay. I'm coming.)

A few minutes later, all of the students finished discussing about the question. I have to find someone that could help me with the cooking. While I was thinking, Kazuma suddenly touched my shoulder.

Kazuma: "Anata ga nozomunara watashi wa tasukeru koto ga dekimasu." (I can help if you want.)

Kato: "Hontoni? Sore wa ōkina tasuke ni narudeshou." (Really? That will be a great help.)

And just like that, I found my assistant. An eternal rival as my assistant. Or I could say, the person who wanted to be my friend.
