It was late in the afternoon, and Marinette was in her room brushing her long black hair in the mirror. As she brushed her hair, in the corner of her eye she noticed a little red light shining on her wall. The young girl smiled, moving close to the window and looking out the window. Hiding near an abandoned building near the house, was Jack with his rifle in his hand. Jack noticed Marinette in the window and smiled back at her. He moves the rifle, using the red dot to spell out, 'R u ready?' Marinette laughed to herself and nodded yes. Jack moved the light again 'See u soon <3.' Marinette suddenly heard a knock on her door and she quickly closed the curtains, Jack knew that meant her parents were coming into her room. Jack put his rifle back in his bag, and made sure to stay hidden.

"Marinette can I come in?" Your voice came from the other side of Marinette's door.

"Yeah, Mom," Marinette said moving to her desk acting like she had been reading a book.

You walked open the door and walk over to your daughter.

"I don't mean to bother you, I just want to say goodbye before I go out." You told her.

"Where are you going?" Marinette asked turning her chair around.

"Miss Pauling just wants me to go a simple job, nothing crazy, but I may be home late."

"Oh, okay." Marinette got up and hugged you. "I'll see you later, I love you."

You smiled hugging her back. "I love you too." You said before walking out the door.

"Oh, Mom wait," Marinette said catching your attention. "Mary asked me if I want to hang out today. Is that okay?"

"I have no problem with it, just let your father know before you leave." You told her.

"Okay, thank you, Mom."

"You're welcome, Marinette." You said before closing the door.

Marinette smiled getting up and looking out the window, waiting for your car to drive off. Once you were gone, Marinette grabbed her bag, looking in the mirror one more time before heading out of her room.

"Where are you going, Marinette?" Jacques asked noticing the young girl heading to the door.

"Mom said I can go out with my friend, Mary. We're just going to hang out for a few hours." Marinette lied staying as calm as possible.

"Okay, I just want you home by 10:00 and no later," Jacques told her.

"Don't worry Dad, I won't be late," Marinette said giving Jacques a quick hug before heading out the door.

Marinette made it a mental thought to thank Jeremy for teaching her how to lie so well, but right now it didn't matter. Marinette headed over to the building looking around for her boyfriend.

"Jack... Jack, where are you?" Marinette whispered looking around.

Jack quickly sneak up behind Marinette but the spy in training was smart, turning around and pushing him into a wall.

"Nice try, kangaroo," Marinette whispered.

"I'll get you someday, love."

Marinette laughed letting Jack go from her pin and pulling Jack into a kiss. Jack smiled kissing back, taking in the feeling of his love's touch. It wasn't long before the two pulled away.

"I miss you so much," Marinette whispered holding Jack close.

"I miss you too, love," Jack said. "Come on, let's go before someone sees us."

Marinette and Jack headed to Jack's car, which was parked down the street. The two got in the car and Jack started to drive.

"So, what did you tell your parents about where you were going?" Jack asked as he drove.
