(A/N - I'm doing this from Marinette's point of view to make it interesting. I didn't make it this long, since I've been going through some problems this week, but I still wanted to get something done and hope you guys like it.)

I slowly opened my eyes, the sun shining in through my window. I sat up and stretched my body before looking at the clock next to me. It read 11:00 AM.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I cursed jumping out of bed.

I ran around my room, trying to change my clothes as quickly as I could. I couldn't believe I slept through my alarm again. I grabbed my bag before heading to the front door. On my way there, I ran into my mom.

"Woah, what's the rush, Marinette?" My Mom asked me.

"I'm late for school! Dad is going to kill me, I need to go before he sees me!" I frantically explained.

I tried to run past her but she blocked my path.

"Hey, don't worry," She reassured me. "Your Dad is the one who turned your alarm off, he figured you would want a day off from school on your birthday."

"... my birthday."

My Mom let out a laugh. "Oh sweetie, you forgot today is your birthday."

"Yeah... I've been so focused on my training and my school work that it just slipped my mind." I rubbed the back of my neck.

She smiled at me and shook her head. "Silly girl, I'll take this bag back to your room and you go head into the kitchen."

I gave my bag to my Mom and headed into the kitchen as my Mom told me, where I found my Dad in there. He was sitting at the table messing with the bow on a present in front of him. He looked up for a second and smiled when he saw me.

"Happy Birthday, Marinette." He said getting up and hugging me.

"Thank you, Dad," I said hugging him back.

My dad pulled away and put his hands on my cheeks.

"I can't believe you're 18 years old. It feels like you were just a little baby yesterday."

I laughed at his comment. I looked over at the table and saw there was a plate of croissants.

"You made me croissants!" I ran to the table.

"Of course, I finished them this morning," He told me. "I know how much you love them and I would do anything to make you happy, Marinette."

They smell so good, my dad's croissants were always the best. I shouldn't be surprised that my Dad went out of his way to make these for me, my Dad always spoiled me and I do know why. I know what he did do to my brother and I know he's trying not to mess up with me and I respected him for that. He has always spoiled me on my birthday and Christmas, giving me everything I wanted.

"Thank you, Dad."

"You're welcome, my princess."

My dad and I sat together, eating when I heard the front door open.

"Knock Knock! The greatest brother in the world is here!" My older brother, Jeremy yelled making me laugh.

He walked into the kitchen, but he wasn't alone. His two kids, Thomas and Jenny were with him. It still felt weird being an aunt to two kids who were 4 and 8 years apart in age from me, but I'm starting to get used to it.

"Happy Birthday, Auntie Marinette," Jenny yelled giving me a hug. "I made you this in art class, do you like it?"

Jenny held up a small painting of a cat, it was messy but for a 10-year-old it wasn't bad.

"It's beautiful, Jenny. I love it so much." I told her.

Jenny had a huge smile on her face. Thomas gave me a beautiful drawing of an angel. Jeremy gave me a nicely wrapped box.

"My amazing wife and I picked this out, so I know you're going to love it." Jeremy bragged. "I know it's going to be better than any gift Dad will give you." He whispered, but Dad heard him and rolled his eyes.

I ripped the wrapping and open a box, inside was a beautiful necklace of a flower with a gem in the middle.

"Thank you, Jeremy. It's amazing." I smiled at him.

Jeremy and his kids stayed for a few hours before they had to leave. My Mom, Dad and I spent the day together. I never really liked having a huge party for my birthday, even as a little kid. I just like spending time with my family on my birthday, it just felt right. My Mom gave me some beautiful clothes, she always knew what I love to wear. My Dad gave me a bunch of gifts, he got my favorite perfume, some necklaces, earrings, and some books that I had been wanting to read. He never failed to make me happy. At the end of the day, I was getting ready for bed and as I lay down on my bed a heard a knock on my window. The sudden sound scared me a little and I keep my guard up as I walked to the window. I move the curtains and I calmed down when I saw Jack outside. Though seeing him did worry me a little, I can't have my Dad see him here. I opened the window letting him climb in the window.

"What are you doing here, my dad might see you," I whispered.

"You weren't at school today and I wanted to see my love on her birthday." He told me.

I smiled giving him a kiss, Jack just knows how to make my heart race. When we pulled apart, Jack pulled out a box from his back pocket.

"Happy birthday, Marinette."

I opened the box, I smiled at what was inside. In the box was a black rose butterfly knife. I opened the knife, and there were so many beautiful details on the blade, the three roses in the middle, and the vine work was just perfect. The rose on the handle was just beautiful too.

"Jack, it's so beautiful, thank you." I hugged him.

"You're welcome. I just want to give you the best."

The two of us sat together, talking for a while, luckily my Dad didn't come into my room. It started to get really late, so Jack left giving me a sweet kiss goodnight. I closed my window after he left and headed to my bed, I laid down and closed my eyes. This is one of the best birthdays ever.
