When the Lan Data Feeds GOT BROKE, not all 70 Trillion Lans were looking at Wroug.

Some were having medical procedures. Some were performing medical procedures (Lan systems do not install themselves). Some rare ones had such jobs that require full attention.

Some were sleeping, or enjoying a contemplative time away from data feeds.

Some were enjoying intimate time in privacy with others, and likely would not have even wanted to be interrupted.

So certainly, not all the 70 Trillion Lans were looking, but over 90% (of those that were not otherwise dedicated to something) looked.

The data system did not actually break; the data systems just re-aligned for optimal performance.

Many Lans on Wroug were not affected in any way. The kidnap victim and spouse had channels locked by Lan Security. Some other Lans used regulated communication channels.

Most of the roughly 4000 Lans on Wroug had their data systems "backboned" to supply the demand.

That left those 4000 without general access. They could spend some time in ways that did not require searches, status updates, posts or alternate video streams. They could see the park and enjoy the roughly dozen views of it. The three elLan views were the most heavily viewed.
