After the performance event, "second" leads "first" and Ami around the planetoid in a series of transport hops. Manufactured lighting arrays float above the atmosphere, but only on the dark side. When you are in the mood for a different brightness of the sky, just transport over to a place that suits you.
It is a joy for Ami to behold, but she gets an uneasy feeling. They go back to lodgings, so Ami can rest. She is not sure why she is at unease. The sights were beautiful. Maybe just too many sights or hops in a brief time?
When Ami recovers, "second" projects some information of a wall (projection is a rare installed feature). It is the details of the alLan from the event.
"first" has seen wall projections, but is confused by the profile of this alLan. He has a level of "regard" points. It must be a mistake. He has a vast public network count. Generally, popular Lans collect detractors who shrink down of network and regard. Very high numbers are unusual.
"second" asks Ami: "Did you like this alLan?"
Ami: "He seemed quite popular. I think I might have enjoyed knowing the context of the audience reactions. Say, why were there so many elLans wearing clothes that exposed skin? Lans keep mostly covered like the Wroug do."
"second": "hmm. OK. In social events, they expect us to keep decorum. In privacy, they do not judge us, except by those we are with. Many Lan events have an openness to socially acceptable touching. If you go to an event like we three did, with just hands and face exposed; we might take part in hand holding or kissing. Greetings and partings, mostly. To wear clothes, with expose skin to these types of events, is an invitation for social greetings with touches to the exposed skin. So, if you go to an event with a top that exposed the small of your back. It would be fine for everyone to walk up and hold a hand and touch your back. You set the level of contact you want by the clothes you wear."
"first" walks up behind Ami and hugs her.
"second" was not expecting to see that, but continues: "So, the alLan had a group of elLans who went up on the stage. They each were hoping for a greeting with a touch to their skin. He certainly seemed comfortable up there, but he actually only held a few hands. You, Ami, might find yourself popular. You might collect groups or crowds. I want us to meet with him, to get advice or possibly even some longer term help. Is it OK with you?"
Ami looks at his picture in the profile and thinks he is a nice and kind type. There are no emotion labels in her mind for him, though.
Ami says: "Yes, that sounds good."
"second" spends a little time not moving, and says to Ami: "OK, two days from now. He rejected my use of points to create a demand, but it will be a prioritized request to him. That is a kind move. Should I show you video on the basis's for the dialog in the event?"
"first" says: "Rest. I think. For a little while."
"second" looks to see a low energy body language in Ami and agrees.
They help Ami remove clothes and then remove their clothes. Ami discovers "first" positioning a hug from behind, and "second" faces Ami in bed. Ami and "second" gaze earnestly and intermix their fingers. After two minutes, "second" says: "You take as many breaks and rests as you need. It is easy for me to forget that these things are all very new to you."
"second" pulls away one hand to brush Ami's hair and then rejoins the finger mingling. Ami signals to drop her gaze. They close their eyes, and the three of them sleep for many hours.
