The Medical Site Supervisor gets the Lans into a room across the hall. A place that feels more clinical because it is smaller.
"There are some issues with the healing of the patients.
We know about some of the factors, but I observed something unusual a few minutes ago.
The heartbeats of Ami and this elLan matched exactly for about a minute.
Just after Ami showed signs of distress."
"first" tells them that there is a reason. She and Ami are 'bonded by soul and spirit'. A thing which requires calm and enlightenment to achieve. Ami appears to be unaware of the presence, mostly.
A confused discussion circles around until "first" offer to demonstrate.
She asks the Medical Supervisor to keep the data confidential. Demonstrations like these sometimes requires going into hiding afterwards.
She asks "second" to turn off her systems.
Drawing her hands slowly down "second"'s face she says, "If you feel stressed during the process, remember this is for Ami."
"first" brings a hand up to "second"'s back, and the other hand to her sternum.
An oddly familiar feeling rises in "second". It is scary. A soft feeling grows into a paralysis with unwanted echoes of a time before.
"first" whispers, 'I am sorry. I did not know'.
On "second"'s back there is a residual energy from a previous connection. It is brushed away in soft strokes by "first".
"first" dedicates a fixed expression with her head on the shoulder of a stiff "second".
You are.. a
"Strong Tower". You are steady and strong. You see forecoming troubles and see arriving visitors. A strong wind may shake you, but where the wind is near; it resides close and there together both are in unity.. equal.. balanced.
As the words are spoken, a light shimmering script appears on her back in those words.
When the last word is spoken, the heart beats of the two elLans sync.
Looking to the Wroug Site Supervisor, he nods.
"first" and "second" turn their systems back on, and the heartbeats move in separate rhythms.
The Medical Supervisor asks if Ami's heartbeats also follow hers.
"Oh no! My heart only ever trails in the wake of her beats. She has the strongest spirit and soul energy that I have ever experienced."
