Once settled in to sleep, Arlow drifts back in his thoughts.

To those days on the commune. Warm and pleasant days. Days spent dancing in the dusk with those radiant girls.

Dancing, swinging arms, trading stories.. and laughing, lots of laughing. They danced and played in that.. you know.. that nice glade just away from the sleeping huts.. just over past the..

Those merry girls and their echoing giggles.

[tink] [tink], [tink] the sound of finger tapping on the glass on a window.

[dink], [dink],[dink] the sensation of the finger tapping a forehead.

"Well, well. Arlow Tsai! Look at where you are. All the way over on this side of the multi-verse!"

Arlow had the boulder to restrain his startled jerk.

Before him was one of those girls. One of those girls from the commune. From decades ago. Unchanged.

"Ohh Arlow! You forgot. You forgot, like you Earth Humans so often do. You forgot about us. "

As Arlow stares at this toddler sized girl, her form shifts slightly. No longer a cute kid wearing fabric wings, but a more tactile visage.

Skin that is maybe too pale. Lines of color that are not tattoos on what is not human skin. And wings on the back that are clear to see. Clear to see flick and adjust.

"Ohh Arlow. We laid a good foundation with you. You turned out to be an agreeable man with a good heart. It is a shame you lost your way and never returned to dreamland."
