Standing with these beings brought a peace.

But I realized that the translation system was gone. It took a while to notice, because I understood every word.

Ami and 'first' were happy, but they also sighed. Too few of the Lan and Wroug people even had the heart to try to make the crossing.

Wroug had ascendant souls, but each one would never depart someone they loved. Many clung to loved ones as reality ground to a halt.

The Lans had peaked during the great war against shadow. Their children never found a noble cause. The technological prowess that built homes for 70 Trillion was still standing. Half filled with Lans that knew the end was coming for them. Never desperate, just acquiescing. The new age was a place for those that achieved and wanted it with fervor.

I pondered the reports of my copies. There supposed to be thousands of copies, yet I had only heard about three.

Then, like a cascade of raindrops that fall closer and closer.

Aliens. Wrougs mostly appear in dozens and dozens on the far side.

Hands held by something smaller. Ascendant smiling bright. Drags them to the crossover path and stays with them. Holding their hands.

Whether ascendant or still having a body, the Wrougs cross and the spirit energy between them vanishes with a smile.

Me! The copies of me were doing this.

I hardly recognized it because I never saw.. never expected to be that happy.

It just went on and on. Wrougs Aliens, Lan Aliens, and collections of other aliens.

Thousands upon thousands grabbed two or more for each Arlow at first. Then appearing with just one at a time.

The ascendant copies of me would some time wash forward and wash through me. Sharing the experience of their joy.

I crumpled to the ground.

It was too much to experience, and yet it I could not look away.

Not until the crossover path vanished. I did not comprehend as they lifted me and carried me away.

The sound of laughing and cheering surrounded me.
