Genesia sang the song his people always used to sing. It was their fiery freedom song that they attained in being free from the world, yet it was also their trapped song in not being free inside the birdcage of the enchantment barrier. It was their price for freedom, and their cost for lack of freedom.

The irony of freedom never lost itself inside Genesia's mind as he continued to sing in melancholy. He rowed with precision, purpose and direction, while Kakara listened to his comforting voice, silently but intently, underneath the covers of the boat.

Genesia would switch between deep humming that vibrated the boat with chills and goosebumps, soothing their way in an epic mist of chilled sound waves that reached a higher vocal level. He sounded like a lone fire burning in the night that produced flames of bittersweet relaxation to calm the nerves and simmer stress.

Kakara kept her eyes focused on the approaching storm that was on its way towards them. A storm that looked like no other. One they hadn't faced before, and one that spelled one thing.

Dangerous tides in the open and unforgiving Indian ocean.

--------

Almost two weeks had passed.

Genesia and Kakara decided to take the risk and make straight for home in the hopes that they could finish off the rest of their physical healing in their travels at sea. It didn't take long for them to construct a long lifeboat.

In fact, as soon as they were finished, they searched for as much as food as they could possibly find to carry along with them on the boat. Most importantly, they also put closed wooden containers of clean water in the hopes that it would sustain them long enough on their uncertain journey.

They packed enough essentials to keep them satisfied. In any case, Genesia pointed out that if they ever ran out, he could always adapt and hunt for seafood.

Without wasting any more time or saying any pointless goodbyes, they set off into the sea, and moved to be taken by the current of the Indian ocean.

Genesia secretly said goodbye to the maddening Island, specifically his lemur companions. Oddly enough, he did feel some sadness creeping up on him in marking an end to another stage of his life.

Of course, he kept this to himself since he was happy to leave and begin a new stage back in Constantia, as was Kakara. Although, she was in a mighty foul mood due to getting sea sick during their first week in the ocean.

Luckily, her body got used to things a week later to the current point in time. They had been going strongly and smoothly without much trouble or disturbing worries.

The seventh day of the Seventh month arrived to mark Kakara's eighteenth day of birth that Genesia announced with meek enthusiasm as they...

Hmm.

Let's just say they celebrated her day of birth with more amatory adventures that blew their first time right off the waters with how much they depleted themselves to fall into a deep sleep.

Genesia could only thank Yemaya, the Racaan goddess of the ocean for blessing them with her motherly safety.

So, did things change between Genesia and Kakara in the slightest? Did they grow to become more awkward and so forth? No. Not at all in fact.

At least from Kakara's perspective who was very straightforward about their physical intimacy as though nothing odd had happened.

Therefore, Genesia was the only one that acted like nothing was amiss each time they did it. Now here they were, in the stormy night. Unlike previous nights, Genesia was far too restless to join Kakara in sleeping due to his paranoia of lightning and thunder. He remained on top of the boat's covers to row in an attempt to bravely face his fears of the thunderstorm.
