It all started with one when there was none. One source among none that mattered. None that had nothing and couldn't possibly produce anything. None that would forever be nothing, as everything amounted to one void of barren emptiness.

The universe had no stars. The universe had no shine. The universe had no twinkles. The universe had no starting line.

Where there was supposed to be oceans of galaxies, the universe was empty without any galaxies. Where there was supposed to be orbs of planets all around, none of those planet sized orbs orbited around like magnified eyeballs.

Except one pair.

Only one — pair — of green eyes.

That buried her inside a hole of sand, to sink down inside an unknown realm. The force proved to be too strong for her to fight back against, as the sand quickly covered all rays of light from providing her with strength and assistance.

All light. Leaving no light. Not even one single spark of light. No sanctuary of light to win with, and only a haven of loss to lose with. And so in losing under death, there could only be one last resort. Winning on top of life.

When Neosa came to, she found herself trapped inside an oversized hourglass. One that had sand falling down like rain from above, and one that had quicksand pulling her down to drown like sinking mud.

On the outside, was a desert. A very hot desert with extreme winds blowing across the deserted wasteland of blood boiling heat. The high humidity and excessive heat waves made it absurdly uncomfortable for Neosa to breathe in.

It was as though the very air itself was too hot to even inhale from, lest the oxygen fry her insides and overcook them to blackened ash and dust. The rain of sand kept filling the hourglass as Neosa willed herself to get up on her feet. Said action proved to be so taxing that each movement she made to stand pained her.

Her range of motion was stiff, sluggish and limited due to the inflammation in all her joints.

"Aachi! Aachi! Aachi!" She screamed. Not only was she at war with her own body inside her mind, but she was also at war with the quicksand that was slowly causing her to sink as though a pool of lava was underneath her feet.

Additionally, the rainfall of sand from above burned her skin like acidic rain from radioactive fallout consisting of explosive dust particles. Neosa frantically placed both her blistered hands on the glass. She started panicking as the heat rose like burning waves in an ocean of pure fire.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Neosa started hopping on the spot to transfer the burning pain from one foot to the other in intervals. The hourglass filled itself with blazing heat like a furnace prison that she could not break free from.

She tried smashing her way out with kicks, punches and flying headbutts, only to scream in pain each time from how hot the glass burnt her skin.

She cried out in frustration. The rainfall of acidic sand stormed down on her, just as the hot winds outside the hourglass stormed through the unbreakable glass to take away her ability to breathe completely.

The humiliation enraged her as she threw a temper tantrum and kept trying to get out of the hourglass that continued to bury her inside its holding hour of rising hotness.

Mon Neosa! Mon! Mon! Mon! Neosa took a deep breath. The hot temperature escalated into a number of torturous degrees.

The hyperthermia Neosa experienced was beyond any feeling of overheated body temperature she had ever felt. And that was saying something since she was known for her raising drafts of hyperthermia against those she fought against.
