How does ice shed tears? It melts into water. How does ice cry? It melts from its solid form into water. How does ice break down? It cracks into pieces that melt into water.

But how does ice break down in complete frozen despair?

Pellets of frozen water fall down. For that is how Minaleese's tears rained down her eyes. Showers of icicles fell down her barren cheeks of cumulonimbus clouds. The kind of clouds that ushered in the most disastrous fall of heavy rain, heavy hail and heavy snow storms.

"Laaa - laaalaaa - la - la, ah, I see you are alive again my barren sister. I was afraid you would not bear witness to Lala's celebration of birth. It's alright. I know, I know, it hurts doesn't it? You did well. You don't need to cry anymore. I thank you for sharing my eternal pain, but now is the time to share eternal joy."

Can eyes freeze? For Minaleese, yes. Seeing such an atrocious tragedy from Xantris's past, to the unspeakable, unforgivable and inhumane evil that was performed on such an innocent child in Lala — to Xantris's unborn child Laaa—

It rendered her mind and heart to be frozen in a lost void of time. Simply put, she passed out miserably from horrible grief and terrible pain. A range of emotions caused waves of typhoons to destroy her from the inside to where she blacked out.

The blood damaging and permanently scarring trauma caused her to stop breathing and to lose consciousness as though she never possessed any to begin with from birth.

"La - la, there there, that's it, you have woken up just in time." Xantris kept trying to warm Minaleese's body that was still wrapped in her crafted webs by adding sizzling heat to them. Minaleese's ice statue of a body melted through cold sweats to return to its original state instead of disintegrating into cracks.

Her blank mind and blank heart started working again. Things were still a foggy blur to her fluttering eyes that could not make out her position or predicament. Everything was too cold to feel and too painful to bear that her being alive seemed like a lie.

It took six minutes for her lost downcast eyes of shells to finally see again and for her lost senses of empty shelves to finally register again. Especially when she felt a blood dropping butterfly sensation in her stomach as though she was high up in the air and not on land.

"Laaa, life is so so so so so sooo cruel isn't it for us? Look, we are all flying."

The two were no longer in the dark forest, surrounded by nothing but red dread. Oh no.

They were high up in the clouds on a black broom, made from a mopane tree, the same tree as Minaleese's white staff. The vicious strikes of hail crashed into them from above and from the sides. Below them was a murky view of Petora. From the west, to the east, and to the south.

"Laaa - laaa - lalalalala, do not fear, you will only hear the music of Lala."

Minaleese could hear Xantris speaking and she could hear the sound of the world coming in to sink her ears like a flood, but all she could do was be silent. It was like she had lost her voice and was floating inside an empty dimension.

Her grip on reality was as weak as her frozen hand that held her white staff up in the clouds. While Xantris's grip on reality was as strong as her webs and her embracing arms that held Minaleese up in the clouds.

"Laaaaaa - laaaaa - lalalala - la - laaaaaaa."

Minaleese heard her. She genuinely heard the special child, from the inside of her wasteland of a womb as though she was her own child. She could see her sky blue eyes adding colour to the grey sky that she was suspended in. Her tunes echoed and struck the air like she was the very air itself that kept climbing in volume and audacity.
