Session

~Charming's POV~

After flipping the bacon I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Turning, I saw Nessa walking down, yawning and rubbing her eyes

"Morning Ness"

"Morning Da- David" 

A smile spread across my face, I could have sworn she almost called me Dad but I couldn't be sure. Vanessa sat down at the island and laid her head down on it

Pulling out plates, I put the eggs and bacon on them and put one in front of her "You okay Ness?"

She picked her head up and nodded. There were still tear stains on her cheeks and her eyes were a light pink as if she had been crying earlier. She started eating and I took Mary Margaret her food

When I came back she wasn't eating anymore, she was just slowly pushing her eggs around her plate

"What? Did I burn them?" I joked

She smiled and shook her head. "No, They're really good. I guess I'm just not that hungry"

"Ness" I sighed "What's wrong?"

She looked up and gave me a small smile, a smile I could tell was completely fake. "Nothing's wrong. I'm just not hungry"

"You didn't eat dinner last night and now you don't want breakfast? Something's wrong"

"I told you, I ate at Granny's last night"

I gave her a knowing look "Ness, I may not have known you long but I know when your lying, you didn't eat at Granny's"

Nessa looked down at her plate. By the look on her face, I could tell that she was debating on if she should tell me or not

"I heard you and Snow talking last night..." She trailed off. My heart sank, she heard us? 

Sitting next to her, I put my hand on her shoulder. I knew what she must have thought: She thinks that we love Emma more. "Ness, you must've misunderstood. We don't love Emma more, we love you both the same. We just don't want either of you to feel left out..."

Ness nodded. 

"Please eat," I said to her as I finished my own food and grabbed my jacket "I'm going to the Sheriff Station. See you later"

After kissing her head, I headed out the door and to my truck

~Nessa's POV~

"I'm going to the Sheriff Station. See you later" He kissed my head before leaving the loft. I sighed and finished the food

I wanted to believe what he said, but I just couldn't. Even if Charming loved us both the same, I could tell that Snow loved Emma more. Emma has had them in her life for like four years, I'm finally getting to spend time with them for the first time in forever, and Snow is still concerned about Emma feeling unloved and left out, and not about me feeling unloved and left out like I have been my entire life

After finishing my food, I put the plate and silverware into the sink and decided to head to Granny's for an Iced Coffee

~Lunch ~ Granny's~

My phone beeped, signaling a text. I picked up my phone and unlocked it, there was a text from Snow

Snow: Hey, Ness. Can you take Emma and David some lunch? They're really busy at the Sheriff's Station and I want to make sure they eat

I texted back that it was no problem and I walked into Granny's

"Hey Rubes," I said to Ruby, using my new nickname for her "Can I get two grilled cheeses, two things of onion rings, two regular coffees, an iced coffee and a thing of fries?"
