The rest of the week passed by smoothly. She found out Kohana was in the same class as Hinata so they also knew each other. Hinata never hesitates to greet or talk to her and so did she. While waiting for her two sisters to finish their club duties everyday, she practiced with the boys, getting used to their constant bickering and Kageyama refusing to toss to Hinata. She's absolutely sure she met Kageyama before or maybe she was just reminded of volleyball while watching him play. But mostly the former.

Hinata was fast and springy, while Kageyama's tosses were brilliant. She knew if she could get them to work together they could make an exceptional duo. Although her efforts along with one of the team members, Tanaka-san was futile, she couldn't help but have faith in them.

Saturday came, she informed Kiyoko beforehand that she would tag along. When they arrived, Hinata and Kageyama were stretching and she sat beside them giving them comforting smiles especially Kageyama since he was the one with something to loose. The both of them looked calm but excitement is visible in Hinata's face. They we're waiting for their opponents when Yamaguchi and the tall blonde was seen trailing behind Daichi.

She let out a small gasp, suprised at the coincidence that they were her friends' opponents. Yamaguchi's gaze landed on her and he gave her his friendly smile. Unlike the blonde who looked uninterested and bored as he entered the gym.

"Yamaguchi, I didn't know you played volleyball." She said once they were close.
He scratched the back of his neck saying "Yup, Tsukki plays too. But why are you here?" At the word Tsukki, the blonde flinched and clicked his tongue making Yamaguchi turn to him and apologize.

After a few more minutes Daichi gathered everyone around, including more players from the team she never met before. Daichi explain the game and it's purpose, much to Kageyama's dismay. He also introduced the three other club members, although she was slightly weirded out as one of them kept staring at her. Daichi then turned to her to introdce her until it hit him, they didn't get the chance to know her name, with the exception of Kiyoko and both of her classmates.

"Oh, um, Katsumi. Shimizu Katsumi." She said politely, giving them her warmest smile. But the reaction she got was not what she expected. They either beamed or stared curiously at her, and in her opinion it was rude for which it lasted for a few quiet minutes until Kiyoko, noticing this, tapped Daichi's shoulder and he gave a cough that snapped them out of that state.

"Ehem.  As I was saying she will be lending us a pair of hands." She gave a small nod as he continued. "So what are we waiting for? Let's get this thing started." He said proudly with a grin.

It was half of the game and Katsumi sat at the bench next to her sister, carfully  analyzing the other teams strength. As expected of the Captain he was good, but his spikes were not as good as his receives. Because he received the ball like it was a daily thing. Which was probably true since volleyball can be quite addicting. Based from experience.

She also noticed how the Tsukishima's height benefited him so much as he was able to block most of the spikes even though he looked like he wasn't that into it. She was pulled out of her thoughts as Yamaguchi yelled in her direction.

"Katsumi! Watch ou-" Before he could finish,  she stood up, parted her legs and stretched out her arm by instinct, she braced herself for the impact and hit it with the right amount of power towards the perfect angle for the ball to be back on the court. But instead of continuing, they stared at her for a minute until Kiyoko-san clapped her hands together and told them to continue.

The game continued and much to Katsumi's pleasure Hinata and Kageyama found out about a quick that shocked everyone. Especially since Hinata's eyes were closed in doing so.

The game ended with her friends winning. She cheered as Hinata ran to her and gave her a bone crushing hug. Suddenly he took a step back and said "Ab-about the ball, sorry." He bowed in a ninety degree angle as kageyama hit his head saying "Boke! Hinata Boke!" And Tanaka pulling him aside just to say "HOW- HUG- EEEH?!?!" Hinata was just as confused as the girl when Tanaka calmed down and also asked for a hug, much to her suprise. "Don't tolerate it." Kiyoko warned her quietly as Daichi pulled the second year by the collar mumbling about how he should get a grip on himself and to leave her alone.

Kiyoko told Katsumi to give the remaining first players the towels and water on the bench. And so she did, as she walked towards the group in the corner, she couldn't help but laugh at the sight.

Hinata was trying to grab the Tsukishima's hand forcefully, probably trying to get a hand shake, she thought. And as he finally grabbed it he forced a handshake, irritation obvious on the blonde's face. He left and Yamaguchi followed, coming towards her direction. Nevertheless, the girl smiled and said "You guys played well." And handed them the water and towels. Both drank the water immediately handing it back to her. Tsukishima's eyes met her for a second before it went back to the tumbler. Is it her or does his eyes look lifeless, she wondered.

She walked back to Kiyoko, helping her out when Daichi asked the manager, "Did it arrive already?" Kiyoko nodded towards his direction and gestured for Katsumi to follow her to the equipment room.

They came out carrying boxes and placed them infront of the players. Kiyoko ripped it open revealing black Karasuno jackets and handed them out to everyone.

The players got overly excited and the Captain gave his usual 'welcome to the team' talk. Katsumi walked away and started picking up the balls when someone tapped her on the shoulder. Making her turn aroun to see her grey haired senior. "Sugawara-senpai?" Sugawara immediately turned red at the word senpai but shook it off. "Don't you think you could get away with a recieve like that." He stated. Katsumi was not suprised of being confronted for what happened but still, she didn't know what to tell them so she gave him a slightly mischievous smile and shrugged. Quickly she turned around and walked out the gym, releasing a relieved sigh as she got outside, escaping the situation.

She was just not ready for that.
