《• Katsumi's Pov •》

The week after that was quite the suprise. I had to keep going from gymnasium one to two every now and then because the team is.. uhm, not practicing as a team.

I found out Asahi-senpai is learning to do a stable jump serve, Noya-san is going to toss, Kageyama is trying out a new toss, Hinata was also practicing fighting in the air on his own, Yamaguchi with his serves, and some were practicing for a synchronized attack. I believe these were certain tactics that they learned from their many practice matches. And even if they were practicing separately, I couldn't help but have faith that they will all grow together.

Kiyoko-san was right, the team was getting stronger. Everyone was striving to imrpove for themselves, and for the team. All except a particular blonde megane of course.

But that wasn't my biggest concern. Hinata and Kageyama don't seem to be on good terms and this continued until it was already summer break. It was a bit odd but I don't think I can do anything. Yachi told me about their little scene last time and I was distressed.

But knowing those two, I'm sure they'll work things out.

Anyways, it was finally summer, and I was in Tokyo.

I arrived here last night and was instantly met with my suffocating schedule. I finished signing all that paperwork around 10pm and finally got some sleep around 1. The team would also arrive sometime today for the week-long traning camp, they left at midnight but I believe it's too early to wait for them.

"That's all for today, let's pack up guys..! Oh and we're so glad to have you back Shimizu-kun." One of the staff in charge shouted before turning to me with a smile.

"Thank you. Glad to be back." I smiled back.

I made my way to my dressing room and asked for my clothes and bag.

I exited the building and made my way to the nearest pedestrian, before crossing the street and making my way around the crowd.

I was too all too familiar with my surrounding, so I easily found the restaurant I was looking for and went inside.

It was a regular thing for me to go here everytime I finished my work so most of the staff were already my friends. Looking around for a table, the smell of several dishes filled the air, enlarging my appetite.

But as I walked towards a free table, my path was blocked by a smaller frame who was also familiar.

"Well if it isn't Shimizu Katsumi. How long has it been?"

She pushed her hair back and had an evil grin on her face. My eyebrows rose in suprise but my expression was still neutral.

"Reiko. Long time no see." I faked a small smile. It's been so long since I did that too.

"Duh of course! You left Tokyo for a random province!" She exclaimed it like only a crazy person would do that.

Reiko was one of my old teammates from junior high. She was also one of the girls I heard in the infirmary two years ago. I flinched as I recalled the incident.

"So, how have you been?" Anyone could sense from my tone that I was uninterested, since I only said it to not be rude. Of course, Reiko would be oblivious.

"Oh I'm still as good as ever. The whole team is actually." My ears perked up at the mention of the team, stirring something inside me and she knew this of course.

"So I'm guessing none of you left the school?"

"Of course! We're still one of the strongest powerhouses even without you. Not to mention.." she took a step forward and pointed a finger at my chest.

"A real wolf never abandons her pack." She smirked.

I hate her. I still hate all of them for what they did. They're cruel. I couldn't imagine how I used to hang out with them and how I saw them as friends. But I won't let her see that. It was a wound I'd rather not rub salt into.

"Too bad I found out I had wings then. I'm a crow now." I stated. I raised myself to my full height, proud I was taller than her.

I looked down on her and sensed how her confidence decreased, her hand falling to her side, making me smile.

"I think I'll be going now. I thought I lost my appetite, but seeing you just made me sick to my stomach."

I turned around and walked away, but she grabbed my wrist. 'How long do I have to endure this.'

"Let's have a match." I looked at her and saw that she was serious.

I was forced to exchange numbers for further details. I only agreed if it was a three on three since I didn't have a team to begin with. I only had Kohana. Much to my suprise, she said she'd convince the others to come to Miyagi, and since it would be less of a hustle for me, I agreed.

"Good talk." She faked a smile.

"Oh, really? I thought you only enjoyed talking behind my back." I also faked mine.

I saw the suprise in her face and I couldn't help but smile for real. I turned around once more and this time, I was able to walk away completely.

Now it was time to go see my real friends.

.

I arrived at Shinzen Highschool where the venue of the camp would be. I was a little late since I didn't know where the school was and I recieved a text from Yachi that they arrived 10mins ago.

Sliding the gym door open, I walked in a quick pace towards the team who was now playing agaisnt Fukurodani.

"Sorry. I got lost on my way here." I stopped next to Kiyoko-san and put down my bag. Watching the game was.. uhm.

How do I say this..? It went like this..

Hinata couldn't hit Kageyama's new tosses.

Hinata switched to his left hand in attempt to recieve a falling ball.

Asahi-senpai did a jump serve that was an out.

Noya-san intended to do a jump toss but jumped too far and missed the ball.

And of course the synchronized attack that wasn't so synchronized epicly failed.

It was going badly. They were evolving at such astonishing speed that they're performance is crashing just as fast. My eyebrows were furrowed the whole game but..

Afterwards, I couldn't help the smile tugging on my lips as I watched them strive. This wasn't a bad thing at all. In fact, I can't wait for them to start working together again.

.

Shitty chapter, I know.
