Chapter 19

Lucci's P.O.V
Lucci groaned when he was working and felt pain move through his body normally the tingles weren't bad but now they had a stinging to them and he worried knowing that something was wrong with Luna.

Kaku looked over seeing that Lucci was holding his ribs and he walked over frowning. "Is it Luna? What are you feeling?"

Lucci panted softly. "I think someone just broke a few of her ribs and sent her flying again; she's fighting I can feel her anger and I think she's disappointed in someone. Damn it I wonder who she's fighting this one is worse then all her past opponents."

Jabra looked over to Kaku and Lucci and he knew that his comrade wasn't usually to worried about pain to himself but having a mate meant if one mate got hurt the other felt the same pain and sometimes it was usually worse incase a mate was unconscious the other could say where the pain was. "If I recall the closer to your mate you are usually the more sensitive you are to what their feeling including pain."

Lucci looked over and he knew that Jabra was right. "Heh I forgot about that; but whoever she's fighting is pushing her she's in major pain; her back, ribs, right shoulder. Whoever she's fighting she better win against."

Kaku and Jabra frowned seeing that Lucci was on edge and they knew that Lucci was protective of his mate. They saw that Lucci was fighting to stay in control and not change to his big cat and Jabra sighed. "I read once that sometimes when mates are closer and the bond is stronger...that they can talk to one another mentally. It might be worth a try."

Lucci panted and looked up at Jabra seriously. "She doesn't know me yet much less my voice; I don't want to stress or worry her anymore then she already is." Lucci could only wait and hope that whatever fight his mate was in...that it would soon stop.

A marine came in with a report that Mihawk was responding to a major fight that broke out on a floating restaurant with Don Krieg's crew and he spoke. "Who is Don Krieg fighting soldier?"

The marine gulped and he looked to the reports. "The owner and staff of the restaurant, Zoro Roronoa, Luna D. Evermore and who believe is Monkey D. Luffy sir!"

Lucci heard about Don Krieg and was well aware that the man was known for using poison even on his own men if they didn't please him and...he would fight dirtier then most people assumed. "Alright keep us updated on what Mihawk does; and tell us who wins the fight I'm curious to see how strong Don Krieg is." Lucci smirked a little bit just so the marine believed him and he sighed cursing softly leaning against a wall after he stood. "I must admit my mate has got her hands full in this fight."

Blueno spoke from his spot on a couch where he was reading a newspaper that they got daily. "You think about it Lucci your an assassin and usually emotionless until you found and marked Luna; then once she got old enough that the bond started getting stronger you have been more protective of her and yet you still respect her privacy." He lowered the paper looking at Lucci seriously. "She's no doubt been training and expanding her knowledge since that day and honing her skills just to live for another day; she's your mate no doubt cause your both strong but you do it in the name of justice...she's doing it to figure out her past while living her own life to have a future with people she calls and will call her friends and family for as long as she's a pirate."

Kaku had sat and looked to Lucci. "I agree with Blueno; you's both had hard pasts but even us assassins deserve to have a future with someone that we cherish and that will cherish us in return. You won't have to worry about her not being safe or needing to protect her cause during this journey she's making she's going to be growing and maturing in her young adult years; she'll have so many questions and not all will be answered. Eventually she's going to figure out that we were all there and that you played a role in her pain; wether she finds out the truth from you or not is up to you and time."

Lucci looked at them tense and serious he sighed softly as he knew that they were making sense he did want to tell Luna what happened but at the same time he was worried greatly she would find out another way and reject him. "I know...she deserves her answers; I think I might know who can help pass on any information I want her to know." He had to get Garp's help and that meant a favour and no doubt it would be to keep Luna safe and happy.

Luna's P.O.V
I groaned softly as I stood panting heavily and I saw Sanji fighting his opponent and when he thought he was his enemy stood with what looked like pans. "SANJI WATCH OUT!!" I cursed myself unable to get to him in time and he got shocked on each side of his head and our group froze as Sanji was brought to his knee's. "SANJI!"

Luffy swung a stretched fist hitting the enemy away as I ran in unsheathing my sword as my haki covered it making it black and I fought the big man as I guarded Sanji till he got up to help fight again. "Are you alright Sanji?"

Sanji nodded his head ticked as he lit a match and he had blood on his face. "Yeah I'm alright just really pissed that they wrecked the restaurant." His tone was calm and filled with anger but well in control and it even made me go on alert. "He's all yours Sanji; but I'm going to watch your back and the other's alright?"

Sanji nodded as I moved away and he started fighting again I kept fighting the other pirates and was spilling blood as I saw my nakama's getting hurt again and I felt a strong presence getting closer and I dodged an attack landing. "LUFFY! SANJI GET OUT IF THERE!!" Worried and Luffy and Sanji moved barely as a bright light collided with Don Krieg's ship cutting jt in half and I shook with excitement knowing who it was.

Zoro was shocked as he was wounded as he saw a single small boat with a man with a serious dangerous aura to him, his had tipped down so all your could see was the bottom of his face, a giant black bladed sword on his back the handle looking like a giant cross and as the man showed all his face Zoro shook in fear and excitement. "The greatest swordsman alive; Hawkeye Mihawk."

Luffy looked confused as he was standing near Zoro. "Is he strong? And who is he?" Luffy had never heard of this man at least not what he could remember.

I was shocked and had respect for the older pirate and I moved jumping from where I was and landed in a roll near Zoro and Luffy and kept my eye on the man. "Mihawk is more then just another pirate; he's a Warlord for the government."
