Chapter 50

Lucci's P.O.V
Lucci had gotten pissed off when he had been listening to Paulie talk about pirates and he bad mouthed women saying that they shouldn't be pirates cause they were weak or to emotional.

Lucci leaned back having a lazy look on his face and he looked to Kaku who was tense and they shook their heads as they knew that usually the women were the ones to watch out for.

Lucci glared at Paulie who had caught Lucci sneering and when Paulie attacked Lucci sent him flying. He used Hattori to speak to the blonde haired male. "Don't try to defeat someone who is out of your league Paulie."

Lucci and Kaku paid for their meals and drinks and they headed out together and once they knew they were alone Lucci spoke with his normal voice. "They don't know that there are many female pirates; and many of them have earned the rights to be feared and respected."

Kaku chuckled. "That's true; I heard that Jabra found your mates room amusing. Maps all over and pins and colour codes along with information on more then just pirates, but marines and the World Goverment. You got yourself quite the mate."

"Yeah I did; sometimes I just like dropping the mental barrier and listening to her mind she's thinking of so many things and it's funny wether she's fighting or playing around with her crew she's always got something on her mind. But when she's alone she drifts away mentally and emotionally; I know she's remembering to that day...I know I helped to wrong her but now I can only stand by her side and be her pillar of strength when she needs it."

Kaku listened to Lucci. "What does she normally think of when she's relaxed but happy."

"Her crew, friends, me and future adventures that they might have." Lucci smiled softly when he had caught her thinking about him and he had to admit when she caught on he knew she had been embarrassed but he had reassured her that he liked it.

Lucci stopped when he heard his mate whimpering mentally and he closed his eyes concentrating and he knew right away she was dreaming and he pushed her nightmares away and soothed her as she woke up. "She's been having nightmares lately and has been quiet I'm worried about her."

Kaku frowned. "Send Jabra then; he's been itching for something to do surely he can check on her and see what is going on."

"No their sailing last I heard they were going to reversal water falls and then they want to go to Skypiea. It will be some time before she's back; I'm trying to keep her calm and nightmares away from our bond even my leopard is agitated that she's hurting and scared and we're unable to help her at all."

Kaku walked into their place with Lucci and he noticed that everyone was together and Jabra was looking serious. "What happened?"

Jabra looked to Lucci. "Word went out that Firefist Ace was caught and they want to start a war with the WhiteBeard pirates soon enough."

Lucci growled thinking about Luna's dream with Ace dead. "Damn it; I think Luna has a special gift of her own. She's been dreaming of Ace dead or captured for a couple weeks since they left Alabasta I bet that she knows Ace isn't safe. When word goes out about Ace's execution then Luna will no doubt go to save him with her captain or at least try too."

Kalifa was shocked. "That would end up in her death; Lucci I think at that time you would need to step in and take her away from any chances of her endangering herself."

"You think I don't know that; she's bound to do her best to go to that fight Ace is her family now as well. He has been since she was a child and I know she'll want to fight to keep him alive even if it means they go outside of their pirate code a little. A temporary truce with Edward Newgate is very rare and she won't let her captain fight to get Ace alone."

Blueno sighed. "Then you better think of something to stop her or keep her safe on that day. You know her best Lucci and we see that whatever is happening to her is bothering you as well. They won't be long till they land here you need to spend time with your mate and we also have to apprehend Nico Robin." Blueno had spoken up from where he was reading his newspaper.

Lucci sighed sitting in his chair. "We'll get Nico Robin she's apart of my mates crew now; my mate isn't that nice either. The minute that Nico Robin goes missing off their boat without permission then Luna will be sent to hunt and retrieve as Mercs do for their crews."

Kalifa looked to Lucci. "What do you mean Lucci? They have codes and rules in place for themselves?"

"Yes many rules and codes; but Luna said the strongest rules are called Iron Rules that not even pirates on any ship are allowed to break. One of those rules states that no pirate may leave his or her crew without the permission of their captain even then they have to have a good reason for leaving. If they do leave without permission or a reason then the rest of the crew is allowed to hunt them for as long as it takes and because it's the military I can see this particular crew taking a chance to fight against the World Government." Lucci looked to them seriously but he was having a drink of whiskey.

Kaku had moved to lean against a wall besides Jabra. "What other rules are there?"

"Luna's the one that has been filling me in; I can call and ask her if you want I want to check on her anyways." Lucci sat up as they agreed and he pulled his snail out and smiled as it rang and he answered. "Hello kitten."

"H-hey Lucci." It was easy to tell that she had been crying and it bothered Lucci he never liked seeing his mate crying.

"What's wrong kitten? Another nightmare again?"

"Y-yeah; i-it was Ace again...d-dead. I-I know who he was chasing. He worries me he's only out for revenge." Tears were falling down her face.

Lucci frowned. "Luna; he'll be alright he's your brother your both..."

"I know...that man had attacked and gave Shanks those three scars and Shanks is much stronger then Ace is. I would never forgive myself if anything happens to Ace."

Lucci could hear and feel Luna starting to cry and break and he wished he could have her close to him. "Don't give up on him that quick Luna; he believes in you correct? Then believe in him. I know you care for him Luna; you act tough and are strong...and so is Ace."

Luna whimpered but she knew that Lucci was trying to reassure her. "Y-your right; Ace has always believed in me and Luffy and that means we have to believe in Ace."

Lucci smiled softly. "That's true Luna. Now I have a question and so does my crew here. What are the Iron Rules on a ship."

Luna sighed softly. "Do not leave your ship without the permission of your captain, no killing your fellow nakama, no challenging your captain and if you do and you loose your fate rests on your captains shoulders. No questioning your captains orders and choices that includes of whom he wants to join the crew."

Lucci listened and saw the shocked looks. "We know pirates make treaties with one another for what purpose would you's do that?"

"If we wanted to take out stronger pirates or increase our strength; it might be to fight the marines or government. But those alliances can turn can turn ugly quickly; we can turn our backs on one another we can use each other that's normal." Luna spoke seriously and she heard cursing from a male near by. "It's the pirate life for us; what happens will happen."

"Where are you's right now?" Lucci saw that his group was shocked at how easy Luna talked about their lifestyle.
