Haunted house

"Guys I'm really nervous, why are we doing this?" You ask, rubbing your sweaty palms on your jeans as you sit in the middle back seat of your friend Sophia's car.

"Oh come on! It's a bit of fun no one can hurt you" She says laughing at your hesitation.

"Except maybe the clowns and the dentists and the sharks they have in the aquarium sec-" Louis replies to Sophia but turning to look at you from the passenger seat.

"Okay stop! Stop! You aren't helping" you say as everyone around you laughs.

You lean your head on another friend of yours called Millie.

"Oh guys don't be mean to my little baby" she says is a babyish voice, obviously taking the piss out of you as well.

You take your head off her shoulder and slump back into the security of the seat.

"I'll take care of you I promise" Louis says sticking his bottom lip out at you jokingly.

You huff and roll your eyes.

"We are here!" Millie says, getting out of the car excitedly.

You slowly unbuckle yourself and then get out of the car via Millie's side.

"Great. It's pitch black outside too" You say under your breath.

A hand on your back guides you to the house in the distance with flashing LEDs all around it and Halloween music flowing up into the night.

You smile at it thinking it won't be too bad.

"Okay so how many of you?" The man at the entrance says slowly, he has fake blood dripping down from his forehead and tattered up clothes on his skin. Even though it's obvious it's just an act, that doesn't stop the shivers that cascade up your spine and the sudden urge to hide yourself in Louis's coat.

"Four" Sophia replys , her voice full of energy.

The man grumbles under his breath and rips off four tickets from the roll, handing them to us. He then sticks his hand out in front of me.

You frown at it questioningly before realising and reaching into your purse.

Before you had the chance to place your money in his hand, Louis reaches over and pays himself.

"Louis I had it" You say annoyed.

"But I wanted to pay so it's fine down sorry about it" He says and as you go to open your mouth, he covers it and pushes you through the door of the haunted house.

The music seizes as you enter the first room, the lights cut out and only a small broken lamp in the corner of the room.

You gulp loudly as the other three jump off to look around the room.

"What are you looking for?" You ask them all in a timid voice.

Just as you say that, you feel a presence behind you and a hand on your shoulder. You take in the sight of the three in front of you before hesitantly turning around.

"Tickets!" A person dressed up as the grim reaper says loudly, shoving their face in yours as you try and jump out the way.

The others give their tickets over and without hesitation you chuck the person your ticket.

They look at the fallen ticket and then at you before picking it up and slowly walking out.

"That was so cool!" Millie says laughing.

"Next room" Sophia says walking over to the doorway.

You are frozen in place before Louis wraps his arm around your shoulder and guides you forward.

You walk into the next room but see no signs of the other two girls.

"Where are they?" You ask looking up at Louis.

He looks down at you and shrugs.

He let's go of you and walks forward.

This room is playing clown music and has balloons all over the place.

You grimace, on edge at the fact a clown will probably jump out at you.

Suddenly, a ballon pops to your left and someone wraps there arms around your middle.

You try and pull away from them saying 'please don't hurt me' over and over again with your eyes tightly shut.

"Y/n it's just me" Louis says and you open your eyes tilting your head up.

You breath catches in your throat as you take it the close proximity of your faces.

He looks down at your lips and then back into your eyes. You are frozen until you both begin to lean in.

"Guys you won't believe what's in this room!" Millie says bursting into the room you are in but still looking behind her which allows you the time to jump away from Louis.

"Come on!" Sophia says from behind Millie.

They leave again and you stand there awkwardly swaying on your toes.

Louis scratches the back of his head before gesturing for you to go to the next room. You give him a polite nod and follow the girls through.

"Well that wasn't so bad was it!" Sophia says grabbing on to your shoulder as you walk through the final door to get back outside again.

"Yeah" You say awkwardly laughing as your heart dramatically beats in your chest.

"Let's go home now then" Louis says and smiles at you wrapping you in a hug kissing the top of your head.
