Ch 17: The Void

Sinha Mansion:

It was Saturday morning, Ruhani was ready to go to her class when her phone rang. She checked the caller id and said, “Yeah, Ms. To be bride, what can I do for you?”

“Where are you?” Sameera asked to her.

“Leaving for the orphanage.” Ruhani replied while keeping some things in her sling bag.

“WHAT.”, Sameera screamed on the phone.

Ruhani heard and kept the phone away from her eyes for a while and then put it on her ears while saying, “Slow woman and stop screaming, my ear will be busted otherwise.”

“If I am not supposed to yell then you tell me what should I do. I told you about today’s shopping and you are going to your work, how can you forget that Ruh, its my wedding.” Sameera said in anger on the phone.

“Hey relax, I didn’t forget anything and you told me, we will go in afternoon, I will be back till then so don’t worry and now stop yelling on me.” Ruhani said to calm her down.

“But is it really neccesary to go there, today?” Sameera asked her.

“I have to Sammy, I promised to the kids that I will be visited during the week but due to the work, I couldn't make it, so I am going and I need to talk to Ms. Maria as well for my next week absent.” Ruhani told the reason to her.

“Ok, I will wait for you then and yes don’t forget we are going to club tonight for mine and Vansh’ bachelorette.” Sameera said to her.

Hearing about club, Ruhani felt uncomfortable and said, “Is it really necessary to go there, I mean we can throw a party at house too.”

Sameera knew why she was asking, she heaved a sigh and said, “I know what you are thinking Ruh, but You know that Vansh and I too invited some of our other friends and they all wanted to go there so we planned this and you, you can’t run from yourself in your whole life Ruhani, you have to give it a try and start living your life like you did before. I know you are trying now so consider this as a challenge.”

Ruhani thought for a while that because of her she couldn’t ruin the fun of others so she said, “Ok” to her and after talking for a while they both cut the call.

Ruhani was going to dinning area when she saw everybody was present there included Reyansh. She saw him with a shocked expression and said, “Woah, from where the sun has risen this morning.”

Everyone turned their heads when heard her voice. She greeted everyone and came to Reyansh and sat on the chair which was on his right side.  Krisha asked meanwhile, “What do you mean?”

Ruhani gestured to Reyansh and said in a dramatic way, “This, what I mean is this. How this could be happened, The Saturday king of the house is all ready this morning and too early.”

Reyansh rolled his eyes to her. Ruhani noticed and asked with a frown, “Wait, did you just roll your eyes on me?”

“Yes, I did.” Reyansh said while grinning.

“How can you do that?” Ruhani asked didn’t believe on his words.

“Like this.” Reyansh said and again rolled his eyes one more time to show her how he did it.

“You…” Before Ruhani could say anything, Ronav said, “Stop it both of you.”

“But bhai you saw him, what he did now.” Ruhani wined like a child.

“Dad, first she started.” Reyansh said while complaining.

“I started because it was unexpected for me to see you here that’s why I asked.” Ruhani said while defending herself to Reyansh.
