Chapter 25

Early release again because why not. But this is the last one.

"You don't possibly think that Hikigaya-kun went to your old boyfriend's house. It's a small chance that he actually tracks down the right house. He doesn't even know where he lives."

I was a bit scared for a moment there. God knows what Hikigaya-kun can do when his sister has been harmed. I can assume with 100% confidence that he would have been potentially more dangerous if Komachi was inside the building during the terrorist attack.

"I don't think you understand how capable Onii-chan is. Think about it, Yukino-chan. Tell me what he looked like when he was risking his life for both you and Yui-chan. Did he seem different?"

I begun to take Komachi-san's advice.

Hikigaya-kun did seem different. He was definitely becoming his soldier side when saving both me and Yui. He also had the tendency to cuss at them from the distance which I cannot complain about.

Hikigaya-kun came back to become a civilized person, not a soldier. But even when he is in his hometown, Chiba, he still is a soldier.

And a soldier is dangerous when no one notices him, or when no one sees him.

Oh no...

I don't even realize what Hikigaya-kun is capable of. Considering he is already overprotective of Komachi-san, I can guess for sure that he must've done some research on where Komachi's old boyfriend lives in.

He also had her phone and could've gone to past messages, possibly leaking each other's home address.

"Are you still at the hospital or are you following him?"

I asked her.

"I'm going towards Taishi's house right now. I don't know where Onii-chan is but I can guarantee that we might not make it in time."

I put on my emergency brake, slowing my car into a halt.

"Send me the home address."

Ding!

I then made a U turn, going to the location of where everything in my life might change forever.

[ 30 Minutes Later ]

Knock! Knock!

We were at the front door of Komachi's old boyfriend's house. I am going to call him that because calling him by his family name leaves a nasty taste. I don't want to address a person's family name if that person has emotionally harmed my friends.

He definitely heard the door being knocked multiple times. And they were pretty loud and sounded like it was an impatient knock to the door.

He finally opens the door after a few minutes.

"What can I do for you, officers?"

You probably are wondering why we are being called officers.

We called the police just in case something went wrong.

"We were given a tip about a dangerous man with a gun."

"Don't you think that a dangerous man with a gun is a bit too far? We are talking about your brother, are we?"

I whispered to Komachi-san.

"I know what I am doing. Ever since Onii-chan has come back to Chiba, it's been nothing but intense tensions between him and himself. I don't know what it is called but he's suffering mentally. I know it. I just know it. As his little sister who grew up with him, people can develop a 6th sense when they are really bonded with someone. And my 6th sense is telling me that Onii-chan is not himself right now."
