KENMA'S EYES WIDENED, head snapping to the open door in his streaming room. Grunts and cries echoed across the house, the familiar voice immediately spiking his anxieties.

"Shit," he cursed. He looked back at his stream, spotting his followers commenting their queries, wondering what was wrong since his character stopped moving abruptly. "I'm so sorry, but I gotta end this here."

Kenma didn't offer any elaborations, logging out of his stream and yanking off his headphones. He stumbled out of his chair, rushing out of his game room. "Mizuki?" he called, raising his voice, eyes darting around in worry.

"H—ugh–Here!"

Kenma raced to the kitchen, seeing his soulmate clutching onto the counter, heavy pants heaving from her lips.

Lilac eyes met golden ones.

"My water broke."

"Shit."

And that was how the duo found themselves in the car, Kenma sitting in the driver's seat, taking them to the hospital whilst Mizuki leant into the passenger seat, her hands on her stomach and her eyes shut in pain. Kenma had helped her change into a new pair of clothes, letting her hold onto him and pausing when she needed to take a break to simply breathe. He grabbed the baby bag, his wallet, Mizuki's documents and the car key, moving swiftly. They used the lift to head to the garage, ignoring everyone around them. They weren't important. Not when Mizuki felt like shit and Kenma felt like he was going to cry.

He dialled Kuroo's phone number, tapping into the keypad installed in the car.

"Hey, kitten. What's up?"

"Kuro"

Kenma was cut off by a cry from Mizuki, tears threatening to fall from the corner of her eyes, pushing herself back into the car seat, trying to do anything to alleviate the pain.

"Is that Mizuki? What's wrong?" Kuroo questioned hastily, worry thrumming through their bond.

"Her water broke."

"WHAT? But the babies aren't supposed to come out for another two weeks."

"Tetsuro, babe," Mizuki called, pain evident in her tone, "It's normal for twins to be born earlier. Just meet us at the hospital."

"A-Alright. I'll let Keiji and Koutarou know. We'll be there as soon as possible."

"Th-ANKS." Mizuki threw her head back, the muscles in her body spasming, clenching tightly at the eruption of pain. The worry intensified, and Kuroo shut the phone quickly, ringing up their other soulmates and informing them of the situation. Bokuto and Akaashi immediately dropped what they were doing, rushing out of their jobs and driving to the hospital in their own cars, their hearts racing. The babies were arriving too early. Sure, the doctor had informed them of the possibility of premature birth, but they hadn't actually prepared for it.
