"Do that to me again; I dare you..."

Before leaning forward, still panting in her ear, "M'Lady..."

Marinette's POV

I felt my breath hitch as he said, M'Lady. There was something so familiar about him saying it. It felt oddly comforting in the rageful tension between us. I looked at him breathlessly as he released my hands. And then the anger came right back. I shoved him off of me using my feet.

He didn't look at me. I was staring at him though. Tears streamed down my face one by one. I couldn't help but feel upset. He lied to save his own ass, and I couldn't take him or anything he said. And after everything, I felt a burning sensation in my heart. Not a good one. He had danced with me and promised me a heaven that wasn't real-- that clearly didn't matter to him.

Deep down, part of me I could not identify, knew that wasn't true. I knew he cared. But maybe that is just what I want to believe and choose to see.

I looked up at him. His piercing eyes blast into mine. I felt my whole body shift, my breath became heavy. I could feel his gaze on me as he softly traced the features on my face with a single finger. I shivered at his touch, but I didn't want it to stop. So, I let him continue. He stroked my hair before moving his thumb to the curve of my lips. He looked at them entranced before looking back at me.

I wanted him closer.

"You-you lied to me. Tell me what the hell is going on... please... I'm begging... I want you to believe me." I speak, pulling him closer.

Nobody's POV

Chat Blanc looked at the girl with tears in his eyes. A fear formed in his stomach. The fear of losing her again, like he did a couple months beforehand,. No. Not this time. Adrien was desperate. He wouldn't lose her, especially not now. The fear and desperation was creeping up his neck as he pulled her close to him and leaned in... before hugging her. The tears that had built up came out. His whole world had went numb. Marinette stood there in shock for a minute. The rage she had was still boiling over and she couldn't stop it-

He was hungry for her touch- to be this close to her, to feel her return his embrace. It had been too long since she had...

"C-Chat..."

"I'm trying my best here Marinette..." he whispered, "but I feel like whatever I do I'm hiring you and I don't have that much time and-". He trailed off quietly trying to swallow the quivering lump in his throat that threatened to make him sob.

New memories returned to Marinette as they held onto each other for dear life.

All of the moments as Ladybug and Chat Noir came back to her.

She sniffled quietly. Trying to regain her breath and control to speak

"Chaton..."

"Yes, Princess?"

"Promise me. That you will tell me anything I ask."

Cat looked down at her. Her eyes looked daunting and were still filled with a lot of rage..

"Anything you ask." He agreed.

"Don't lie to me again." She said gripping tighter to his suit.

He smiled. He saw a little bit of viciousness that he would usually see in Ladybug.

"You know... I kind of prefer your suit in black..." she teased through sniffles. He laughed.

"Oh, so how many of your memories did you get back right now..."

"A gizzilion." She yawned. The yelling, the physical excursion, the crying, and not to mention gaining all these new memories, were more than she could bear.

He laughed.

"You know..." she trailed off. Do you want to go to a school dance with me coming up?"

"What?"

"Well... I may want to piss off Gabriel Agreste for lying to me... and I may really just want to get out of the house with you."

"Well we can do that right now he sneered.

"Good point. Shall we Kitty?"

Chat Blanc's POV

Holy shit. That descelated quickly. I'm not completely pulverized right now. I felt a blush appear on mine and her rosy red cheeks. We broke out of our embrace and right when we were about to go we heard the sirens from outside. We froze. We had spaced. Marinette called the police.

She looked at me giving an apologetic nervous look.

"Sorry Purrincess until next time I bowed." As I set her on her bed.

"You didn't answer my question." The girl in front of me pouted. God she was so cute when she pouted. Slowly I wiped the tears off her delicate porcelain face.

"I would be delighted to." I said without hesitation. I wanted to stay with her forever but I knew I couldn't.

I started to leave when she pulled on my tail.

"Stay." She pleaded.

I couldn't believe what was happening. This had all happened so fast. One day we were down each other's throats and now- I didn't care that I was a sentimonster. I knew what I had for this girl was nothing but love.

I sighed. I couldn't say no to her bluebell eyes so I sat in bed with her quietly.

"Princess the cops..."

I protested but the more I did the deeper I snuggled into her and the bed. It felt so good to have a night without restless sleep. It felt like everything was going to be okay. It really felt like I could relax with her. I loved this girl and as long as she was by me I don't know I just felt so much better.

We were truly special I mean- 34 minutes ago she was trying to steal my ring and now- Marinette had gone outside and talked to Gabriel about a false alarm and went back to her room calmly.

Nobody's POV

She sat back down with Chat and as they were snuggling all of her memories came back and I mean all of them-

It wasn't a mere accident. For the past hour, Tikki and Plagg heard the couple from next door. Plagg kept watch and locked the door, guarding the miracle box from Gabriel who could come in at any moment.

Tikki went down and repeated what she had done before. She used her miraculous ladybugs to try and purify the box again and she was able to- for about seven minutes- before all of the black came back and flooded the box again.

Nothing seemed to be working and different realisations came to each of them in that moment.

Tikki and Plagg's that no matter how much they exerted all of their powers they were no match to the embodiment of magic, the miracle box.  And that they wouldn't be able to fix it entirely.

Marinette's realisation that the boy next to her was Adrien Agreste as the memories Tikki returned to her flooded back.   She couldn't help but wonder how they had gotten to this point.

And Chat Blanc, Chat Noir, Adrien- whatever you want to call him- noticed that he wouldn't be able to make that dance with Marinette next week- for he would be dead.  Not from the akuma, not from the Amuk, not from his father, but from his own hands and his love for the girl in front of him.
