Zach's POV
As soon as we meditated under a tree, we went deeper into our memories as reincarnated light spirits. We encountered our predecessors from the previous eras such as WW2 and the Cold War, WW1, the Victorian era, the Medieval era and eventually, ancient China. That's where we encountered the very first leader of the Zodiac heroes.
Zach: What's going on?
Brad: Who are you?
Kuomu: Don't be alarmed, my name is Kuomu. I was the first leader of the Zodiac heroes. I was your first incarnation, Brad.
Jizhu: And my name is Jizhu. I was also the first leader of the Zodiac heroes. However, I was second in command. I was also your first incarnation, Zach.
Kuomu: Do you want to hear a story,
Zach: Yeah, but what is it about?
Jizhu: About how we were first formed.
Kuomu's POV
Many years ago, spirits and humans used to thrive in peace. However, when the dark spirits rose, the coexistence between humans and spirits have shattered forever. So during the Zhou dynasty, in my time, during the iron age, the emperor contacted every light spirit to find bodies of human babies. To grant them power and let them know, on their 16th birthday, that they were light spirits. I was born in 7,954 BC living a normal childhood. Until my 16th birthday where the emperor's servants told my parents that I was a light spirit. A new hope to the world.
Renmen: May I help you?
Servant: Yes sir, I would like to alert you that your son is one of the light spirits.
Chusheng: My brother is a light spirit?
Chongai: Yes, honey.
Servant: Let me see your son.
My nervous 16-year-old self went up to the man. Worried that I would be taken away from my family to train with him. When he saw me, he was happy to see me. But I was nervous because I dunno what to do.
Servant: Hey son, you are coming with me tomorrow and train before the war.
Kuomu: What war?
Servant: You'll see about that.
Renmen: Can't you see that, Kuomu, you are going to train with the emperor and find your inner spirit.
Kuomu: Okay.
The next morning, I went to Fenghao with the servant to meet the emperor. Then, I would be sent to a training area to train with the other spirits. Today is the day I'll be appointed as a new hope for the entire world.
Emperor Wu: Welcome Kuomu, I am the emperor. You are going to be training here until you are ready to become a spirit.
Kuomu: It is an honour to be here, your majesty.
Emperor Wu: Now, let my servant escort you to the training room.
We went to the training room to see 12 people who were training. They were using many different kinds of powers and were using swords as well. I kind of wish I was one of them because it looks so cool. However, it'll take a while to master each and every one of them.
Servant: Everyone, this is Kuomu. Your new member. Kuomu, this is Zhengyi, a 17-year-old water and mind-reading spirit.
Zhengyi: Hi.
Servant: This is Shibing, a 16-year-old flexibility and multiplication spirit.
Shibing: Nice to meet you, Kuomu.
