Kenma POV

I woke up to my alarm for morning practice feeling abnormally hot and sluggish but brushed it off thinking It was because I stayed up too late playing video games. After quickly getting ready and having a slice of buttered toast for breakfast I texted my boyfriend, Kuroo asking if he wanted to walk to practice together.

I started walking to where Kuroo and I meet up to walk to practice. I was playing on my PSP when I heard, "morning, Kenken." Kuroo said, engulfing me in a hug. "mor-" I tried to say but was interrupted by a coughing fit that burned my throat. "Kitten do you have a fever? Your cheeks are a little pink." Kuroo asked, feeling my forehead with his hand. "um...." I mumbled nervously. "wahh! You're burning up, Kenma." Kuroo said worriedly. "You're overreacting, Kuroo." I said, diverting my attention to my phone and ignoring the jabs of pain in my head.

I really wasn't feeling good. "Nope, you're going straight home Kenma." Kuroo said, dragging me back to my house. "b-but-" I started, "no buts, you're sick" Kuroo stated. I sighed, knowing there was no use, Kuroo wasn't going to change his mind.

"What time did you go to bed kitten?" Kuroo asked, turning to look at me. "3am..." I said, avoiding eye contact. "Kenma you know that's not good for you, it's how you get sick." Kuroo sighed, no annoyance in his tone. "Yeah... I know."

We were both walking back to my house, Kuroo already texted the team explaining that we aren't going to make it to practice. We were a few minutes away from my house, my symptoms were getting worse by the second. I had a throbbing headache and was feeling like death itself, I am glad Kuroo is taking me home, I wouldn't have survived practice. I can barely put one foot in front of the other, yet alone play volleyball.

When we arrived back at my house I started unlocking the door, Kuroo side-eying me with concern as my hands shake while I fumble with the keys. "Okay Kitten, straight to bed, you need the rest." Kuroo said once we got through the front door. "Okay..." I complied easily, bed sounds like heaven right now. "I'll go make you some soup and get you medicine." Kuroo said, taking his shoes off and heading to the kitchen.

I went up to my bedroom and changed into some comfortable clothes, I actually laid in bed for 15 minutes-or it felt like it, trying to go to sleep but my head was throbbing with pain and my whole body ached. Playing games seemed easier than trying to fall asleep while only concentrating on how bad I was feeling.

Kuroo POV

I was looking through the kitchen, trying find some medicine for Kenma. When I heard some frustrated noises coming from Kenma's bedroom followed by an; "enemy on the left!!!" I sighed to myself, Kenma was always difficult when he was sick.

I grabbed the medicine that I finally found and soup I made then went into Kenma's bedroom. To find him playing video games on his computer. Kenma's hands were working overtime on his keyboard, pressing buttons left right and centre.

I did noticed that Kenma looked slightly worse, he looked paler and his eyes had this dazed look to them. "Kitten..... you need to rest, not play video games." I said, putting the medicine and soup down. I walked over to Kenma and placed my hand gently on his shoulder. "I know, I t-tried but I couldn't.." Kenma said, sounding close to tears.

He stood up, looking a bit unsteady and I held his hand. I walked him to his bed, then he sat down and I passed him the medicine along with some water.

He took the tablets and drank some more water, but started having a coughing fit. I rubbed his back as it sounded like he was heaving a lung out. "My poor Kitten..." I said, still while rubbing his back. After Kenma stopped coughing he looked a bit dazed and swayed slightly even while sitting down. "Kitten are you okay?" I asked looking at him worriedly. "I.. feel.. dizzy.." Kenma said, holding his hand to his forehead and scrunching his face up. "Do you feel lightheaded? Or like you're going to pass out?" I asked, squating down so I'm eye level with Kenma.

"I-I don't know..." Kenma blinked at me, cloudiness apparent on his face. "That's okay baby, poor Kenma." I said sadly, then moved to be next to him on the bed and pulled him into a hug which he returned with shaky hands.

"Do you want some soup?" I asked and Kenma immediately shook his head no. "Okay, how about we just lay in bed and you can have soup later when you're ready?" I asked, smiling softly at Kenma, he nodded, still looking dazed. "Okay, first I'll go get changed into some comfortable clothes." I said, going to grab some clothes out of my practice bag. Behind me I heard fast and frantic footsteps. I looked over my shoulder and saw Kenma rushing to the bathroom.

I quickly got up and followed him, Kenma dropped onto his knees in front of the toilet, face going even paler. My eye brows pulled together and I started ministrations on Kenma's back. "Deep breaths, Kitten." I said, growing more concerned for Kenma. Kenma often got sick as a child but it was usually reduced to colds and coughs, but this time it seems like a nasty stomach bug.

Kenma panted over the toilet, his hair falling in front of his face. I pulled the hair tie off Kenma's wrist to tie up his hair into a messy pony tail. I could feel his body tensing under my hand and Kenma would jerk forward but nothing would come up. "It's okay Kenma, relax. Let your body do it's thing." I said, rubbing his back. Kenma pitched forward with a gag that squeezed his throat, a mouthful of vomit spilling past his lips. Kenma whimpered before another bout of sick made it's way out.

My heart buzzed with worry as Kenma continued to throw up. Kenma was a silent puker but that doesn't make it any less pretty. "K-Kuroo..." Kenma had a string of salivia off his lip and his eyes were misty. I would trade places with Kenma imidiantly if it meant he didn't have to feel like this. Kenma heaved quietly again, yellow bile coming up but nothing else. Kenma coughed and spluttered, throat painfully raw. I kissed Kenma's temple and took a wad of toilet paper to clean the edges of Kenma's mouth. I flushed the toilet's contents and turned to Kenma.

"You all done? How do you feel, baby?" I asked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind his ear. "M'not nauseous anymore, but my throat and tummy really hurt.." Kenma said, holding his midsection with a clammy hand. "You poor thing, what did my Kitten do to deserve this?" I frowned, sad that he is in pain and there's not much I can do about it. "Wanna try go back to bed Ken?" I caressed Kenma's cheek, that is both pale and flushed with a fever. "Yes please Kuroo...." Kenma said, voice barely above a whisper.

I got off the floor then reached out my hand to help Kenma up, but I still didn't let go even when Kenma was standing. I walked him carefully to the bed, to which it didn't take long before he was under the dovet.

I climbed in after Kenma and pulled his body close to mine then slowly began rubbing his stomach soothingly. "Is this okay? Does it help?" I asked and Kenma nodded, drowsy with sickness. "Thank you, Kuroo..." Kenma said in a quiet voice. "Tell me if you start to feel worse, Kenma, you know I don't mind you waking me up." I said with a soft smile. "Okay, Kuroo." Kenma whispered, limbs gone lax at my touches.

Around ten minutes later I heard soft breaths coming from Kenma. I sighed in relief, he desperately needed the rest. Kenma was now facing me and I couldn't help but stare at him and wonder how a human could be so perfect. I softly kissed Kenma on the forehead. "I love you Kitten." I whispered. I then dosed off with Kenma in my arms.

End!!!
After editing this I think I can say that this chapter wasn't too bad when I first published it.... I mean I did post it over a year ago so it makes sense my writing had changed XD (hopefully it's improved)

Thank you for reading!!! Sorry it's still kinda bad, I'm not a fan of first person POVs anymore....
