"I think I might've inhaled you,
I could feel you behind my eyes.
You've gotten into my bloodstream,
I can feel you flowing in me.
The spaces in between,
Two minds and all the places they have been,
The spaces in between."

"Don, the Portuguese don is dead

"Don, the Portuguese don is dead." Julius informed me.

I halted in my tracks and turned to face him, "What?" I asked as I thought I heard him wrong.

"Santiago Garcia is dead. In fact, his whole mafia was taken down." He told me with a smirk.

I narrowed my eyes as I processed the information, "Who did this?"

"Adrian Knight."

"Adrian Knight? The Italian Don?" I asked to confirm.

He nodded his head in affirmation.

Santiago Garcia had stolen from me and I had already mapped out a plan to get rid of the skank but Adrian Knight saved me the trouble.

"Why would he kill him? As far as I know, they have no connection."

"He threatened Donna's position." He supplied.

"He has quite the reputation for starting...battles?" I trailed.

"Ah! You're talking about the French?" He questioned.

I nodded my head and he answered, "They took his woman away and did some pretty bad things. The only way he would have let that slide was if he were six feet down the ground."

I smirked, "The things we do for women." I commented.

He shrugged, "Congratulations on your engagement, don."

I nodded my head and replied, "Draft an agreement. Mail it to me."

"About what?"

"About the alliance between the Greeks and the Italians."

"They'll prove to be a beneficial alliance for us." He remarked.

"Indeed." I replied and turned to leave.

I went straight to the room opposite to mine and knocked twice. I could not believe I was fuckin' knocking in my own house.

"Come in." I heard a faint voice and opened the door.

I stepped inside the room to see her struggling with the hooks of her dress with an exhausted look on her face.

"Sarah, thank God you came. It's stuck, I guess." She complained in a gentle voice.

I wanted to chuckle but I quietly walked over to her and she pulled her hand away to let Sarah assist. As soon as my hand rested on her back, her spine straightened and goosebumps rose on the back of her neck.
