Camila's POV

I didn't come out of my room for the remainder of the day, my mind so confused and overwhelmed with the idea of Lauren lying to me sitting heavy over my conscious even with the reassurance from Emma and Fallon, they said she'd never lie.. I'd heard it all before!

It must have been around 10:30 when I noticed the sound of the hall door opening just outside, loud heels belonging either to Fallon or the raven woman herself.. I wasn't sure who I'd wanted it to be in all honesty but when the clicking of a key within my lock struck my body turned to cautiously glance at the now creeping open door.. Lauren!

"You missed three hours of rehearsals today.."

I didn't answer her soft tone, instead I laid back down wrapping the blanket over my head as if trying to escape the fact she was even here.. Emma had spent around 30 minutes trying to convince me of Sapphire's game which only left me confused on who to believe.. I struggled with truth.. I often told myself it didn't exist.. but the way Miss J touched me.. I kind of had a bias

"You know when you hide under the covers I can still see you.."

She continued, her heels walking closer before a hand dug down into the top of the thick duvet.. I could smell her perfume seeping in comforting me painfully as I gripped harder against the material not wanting to even look at her.. she huffed in defeat now sitting against the bed in the curve of my stomach and legs denting the sheets only to sit there.. she didn't move..

"I don't like sleeping with dancers because it makes me feel weak, I'm supposed to be their boss so if they were to see me naked or I them.. I wouldn't feel as powerful!"

She spoke out of no where, her tone soft and almost shallow as if nervous beyond belief, she sounded afraid to admit whatever she had just said but if I was being honest I had no idea why she was even trying.. I'm guessing Fallon had spoken to her or something.. that's why she was here, convincing me that she's good.. so she can touch me.. I wanted to touch her too

"You're the first one.. I didn't want to sleep with you if I'm being honest because then.. then I'd feel weak.. guess I am a little weak? Hiring company is fun because they leave after and you never have to see them again!"

She rambled looking for words to fill the silence, she sounded genuine and her tone was nothing but pure.. fighting against my mind however only prevailed to be an issue.. I couldn't say ok.. I believe you.. those words simply didn't fall from my mouth, so instead I continued to lay there.. listening

"Sapphire lied to you.. unfortunately she was digging, she didn't know we had an arrangement but when you snapped back it told her we had.. *sigh* I'm not angry.."

"Why me"

I mumbled under the blankets obviously shocking her as she reached again for the covers to pull down over my face.. this time I let her.. my eyes opening to see her strong features painted with dark shadow and sharp winged liner.. glittering ivory skin covered vaguely by the thick black hair so shiny I just wanted to touch it..

"What do you mean?"

"Why me? You said you don't sleep with dancers.. said you didn't even want to sleep with me so why? Why make a whole thing about it if you hate it so much?"

Her eyes glittered, her hands pressing over the tops of her silk dressed thighs with a deep breath guarding her want to expose.. it was a simple question I thought.. but the time she took to answer only made me rethink the words I'd asked her to respond.. she glanced back down at me after a few moments settling in her spot to lay a single digit over a fingertip peeking behind the covers.. I didn't pull away
