Camila

Waking up next to Lauren was a victory worth savouring, the scent of her remaining perfume and recently washed hair a comfort I never knew I needed. She looked so peaceful and content in slumber, her face relaxed and her jet black hair sprawled lazily across the pillow behind

I didn't realise myself to have fallen asleep again until her hot palm brushed against my cheek with a soft smile. She stood above me already dressed and painted in makeup undeniably perfect, the tiny crystal gems above her eyeliner a touch so subtle yet so powerful. Even on the car ride to work, I couldn't help but admire the way she smiled and spoke so freely in my company

I understood the work life balance, arriving through those double doors and suddenly we were separate, our lives in her home left in the car as she walked towards her office with a demanding strut "Lauren" I called out on a whim, not yet ready to let go of her presence "When are we doing that again?" I asked, watching her turn away from her door "Last night"

She glanced across at the hall before us and sighed with a gentle but barely noticeable smile in my direction "How about tomorrow? I have meetings all evening, I'll make us dinner or something?"

"You can cook?" I sniggered, falsely considering the woman to be a princess "Isn't that why you have a house keeper?"

She rolled her eyes with a laugh and folded her strong arms across her chest "I'm very capable of making you food, Camila!" She smirked "Go to class anyway! I have work to do!"

I smiled to myself, stealing one last look from those blazing green eyes before wondering as told to class. I missed her almost immediately and wondered what she'd do if I snatched her wrist for a kiss goodbye. Last night was something unbelievable, the vulnerability in her I didn't know existed handed over so trustingly

It was like a switch had been flipped and suddenly her voice was only for me, the words from her mouth belonging to my soul. Even in bed, the sensuality of her touch against my skin felt given rather than taken

I pushed my palm through the studio door and sighed, the image of Ella and her friends talking in the corner making me feel no less a part of the academy than when I was denied at the audition. They only acknowledged me when I threw my bag against the floor and tightened the laces on my sneakers, their gentle laughs reminding me of their dislike

"Girls let's get started" Emma hummed as she took her spot out front "I want to get these flexion issues in hand! Miss J was not happy to hear how lazy our feet are being!"

Ella scoffed and looked across at me "Only takes one to get us into trouble!" She mocked with heart "Although I suppose Miss J could never be angry at her entertainment"

"Ella!" Emma growled before I had the chance "If you need to take a minute outside go for it! Otherwise, be nice!" My eyes rolled into the back of my head as I padded towards my spot "I won't have any of that in my class!"

I could feel Emma's eyes on me while I stared at the floor in front of her feet, she was checking to make sure I too wasn't going to explode and ruin her class. I wasn't. I decided to stay quiet in aid not disturb Lauren's career, the reaction of my irritation a possible story for the press

I knew people would talk, it was no secret Lauren and I were a thing as clearly we were awful at covering our tracks. I didn't want it to get in the way of my own career however, I wanted to be successful on my own merit, not thanks to Lauren's treatment

"Partner up let's stretch! Ella, Camila, together please! Let's learn to work as a team instead of tearing each other down?" I clamped my jaw and shot a deadly stare up towards the woman in charge, her gaze now avoiding mine as Ella laughed her way towards me
