Lauren sank down into the expensive seat below her, the girl beside already on her phone. She didn't want to push the conversation, after her little outburst at the venue, there was no doubt Camila needed some space. Lauren was shocked that the girl had agreed to come home with her, the tension in the air more than negative to say the least

Camila said nothing the entire way back to Lauren's home, she smiled and smirked into her phone instead, almost proving she had no desire to communicate with her partner at all. When the engine hummed to a stop, Lauren awkwardly glanced across at the girl now unbuckling her seat belt and sighed, wondering what words laid beyond the obvious avoidance

She stepped out of the vehicle and made ways towards the front door, her silent girlfriend now confidently strutting behind "You're not gonna say anything?" Asked Lauren quietly, shoving open the front door to greet her familiar haven

Camila chuckled, rolling her eyes as she kicked off her heels beside the door "What would you like me to say?" She smirked, poking at Lauren's insecurity with a sharp stick

Lauren shrugged "I don't know? You've been icing me out since the fight and I'm confused as to why" she spoke with a slightly weaker tone than before "I didn't do anything wrong?"

The younger shifted her posture to look at her bruising knuckle "Neither" she winked "I just fell upon a conflict I was the centre of and ended it! Weird, everyone apart from me seemed to know all about it!"

"It wasn't like that" Lauren pleaded, following the girl into the kitchen "I didn't know who the snitch was until the other day?"

"Snitch?" The younger bleated "What the fuck are you talking about Lauren?" She laughed frustratedly "Honestly, this entire night just keeps getting worse!"

"Ok!" Lauren begged "I get it! Just let me explain-

"I'm tired!" Camila retaliated "Lauren I'm so, so fucking tired of this? Do you realise how much shit that woman has put me through lately? She is a bully! Her words cut me like knives and you know why?" Lauren shook her head "Because I knew she was only doing it to get to you!"

"What are you saying?" Lauren pressed

Camila sighed and laid her palms into the counter below her "I can't ignore how much she hated me, the sharp comments and blatant calling out? She was jealous Lauren?"

The elder laughed "No!" She confirmed "Emma was angry that I called her out! She didn't like being in the wrong!"

"She fucking liked you Lauren?" Camila gasped as if the elder should have known all along "Why else would she go that far just to get revenge?"

"No" Lauren shook her head in disbelief as she began pacing the kitchen in front "No, that's not right! Camila it isn't that! She's straight and-

"She wanted me out of the picture! She wanted to hurt you and knew I was the only way to do it! Looks like she took it too far, if she couldn't have you, nobody could!"

"She never wanted me!" Lauren pushed "If she did, she would have said something!"

Camila flailed her arms "She didn't know you felt the same until she found that fucking diary Lauren!" She pressed "By that time, we were already a thing!"

"She's straight!" Lauren mumbled

Camila rolled her eyes "Use your head Lauren!" she yelled "She was on my side when we were apart, now we're together, she hates me!"

The elder couldn't compute the information being given to her, Emma had always told her she was straight, her cover story and front believable to say the least. Camila couldn't help but feel hurt by the realisation, looking down on her hand that had finally unleashed the desired punishment
