Lauren's POV

I woke up the next morning somehow tucked away neatly beneath my covers with a headache pounding so hard into the front of my brain my eyes felt almost as if they were about to explode.. I didn't even remember getting home.. I didn't even know where Camila was.. the night ended somewhere after me drinking a few more cocktails with Fallon in attempts to soothe my rage while she depicted in detail how exactly my Auntie had come to know of her now very clear past..

It was intimidating of course.. heartbreaking more so as every day spent with Lena she'd be answering calls and escaping out to take care of the girl she'd never name.. strange to think how we'd met like this.. I just didn't know why she'd kept it from me? I sat up with scratching eyes stretching painfully before jumping almost out of my skin at the sight of Emma siting gently just above my knees.. creasing the sheets with her tired.. pretty frame

"Good morning.."

"Hey? What are you-

"You were drunk Lo.. not as drunk as Camila but.. drunk.." she began with a shallow laugh and scratching finger reaching to hover her jaw timidly

"W-Where is she?"

"In your guest room.. she freaked out a little last night but I'm kind of hoping she'll feel better when she wakes up.."

She spoke gently, her voice soothing me in ways that settled my raging anxiety.. I never wanted to hurt Camila.. that's exactly why I pulled away? She had to understand that.. right?

"I just didn't want to take advantage of her.." I admit lowly.. her hand slipping to sit over my own with a soft intentional smile

"You did the right thing Lo.. she'll realise that soon enough! I think with her it's all about unlearning that trauma you know? She'll thank you one day.."

"I should probably go and make sure she's ok.."

I spoke back beginning to lift up the covers from over my lap shocked as the girl beside me only clenched harder against my palm.. sending a shiver into my spine as I glanced up to stare back into her eyes

"Let her sleep mama.. just for a little bit longer ok?"

I nod back obviously accepting the woman's answer however noticing something in it that I couldn't decide to be important or not? Just her tone of voice it sounded as if she knew something I didn't? Like Camila had told her something after they'd walked away.. it puzzled me?

No One's POV

Emma lifted her self from the bed smiling back at her best friend leaving her to relax while she escaped to double check on Camila.. truth was they did have a rather lengthy conversation in her intoxication which only left her feeling a mass amount of emotional baggage.. still.. she was strong enough to take it, even if taking it hurt her deep inside

As predicted the brown eyed girl laid fast asleep bundled up within the thick expensive blankets relaxed and calm enough for the woman to walk away, she made ways towards the room she'd been staying within landing back against the covers only to jump at a loud falling book that had jolted from under the bed..

"What the?"

She mouthed to herself as she dropped her arm to pick up the thick black diary.. it didn't have any writing on the front to indicate so with a quick decision she scrolled to open it up against a random page.. it had her name at the top? In Lauren's neat.. poise handwriting.. 'Emma'.. she didn't want to read the page however with her mind knowing it had something to do with her she only found herself quickly scanning the contents.. what she discovered shocking her more than anything she'd ever experienced in her life
