"Why aren't you making breakfast, bro?" Nandini heard Jeanette ask her as she appeared in their living room.
Nandini wasn't an early riser in the past but ever since she started working two jobs, she had to get habituated to waking up earlier. In spite of turning in late the other night, she still woke up at 6 in the morning. She had showered, made herself a cup of coffee and was settled on the couch, with her laptop, to work on her designs.
"I'm meeting a friend for breakfast outside, so I took an off day from home-cooking." Nandini responded with a cheeky grin making her friend groan out loud. Nonetheless, she plopped down beside Nandini and put her head on her shoulder. Nandini patted her best friend's head, with a smile and then continued to work on her laptop.
"Your food is my fuel and you know that. Why would you ditch me on a day when I have this huge presentation at this office?" Jeanette whined making Nandini chuckle.
