"You're up early! Why?" Nandini heard Avni ask her as she typed away the specifications of a particular part of the machine she was currently designing while being seated at the dining table.
"Morning to you too, Ma. You know that I get up early to work on my designs." Nandini shrugged after greeting her mother with a slightly sarcastic smile.
"Sorry! Good morning, kiddo!" Avni apologized for not greeting her and then did the same by taking Nandini in a short side hug. Nandini cringed at her mother for babying her but smiled later.
