The second sunrise which you can witness in this new world appears on the wide sky.

You stand up and inspect your surroundings. Besides Rosa who woke up while rolling down your body as its previous bed decided to move away, everyone is still asleep.

'Aether and Paimon look so peaceful when they sleep... Nope (Y/N), don't be a creep. Food. Right, lets make breakfast.'

At some point of making breakfast your other friends wake up too. 'Paimon smells food...'

'Good morning you two. Luckily, the food you smell is ready. If it actually tastes tolerable is another thing though.'

Aether shakes his head. 'We can only judge about that when we have eaten it. The way it looks I doubt that it will taste bad.'

Turns out you are a good cook. 'Paimon thinks that allowing (Y/N) to travel with us really was a good decision. They cook far better than you Aether. They were lucky that you didn't mess up yesterday’s dinner.'

'Well, that's no problem. Maybe he will turn out to be a perfect cook with a bit of help. We can prepare meals together from now on, only if you want of course.'

The traveler nods back at your suggestion. 'I would love to... But we should get going now. Me and Paimon planned to visit Liyue next and there will be held a ceremony in a few days.'

'Ah right, the ceremony...'

Paimon floats forward. 'Do you know something about it?'

'Perhaps... Going into detail would be spoiler material, but it is for sure that we have to be there when it happens.'

You shrug. 'Gotta stick to the vague statements for now. Just for notion: Even if I can interfere when something is going noticeably wrong now, you can't count on it forever. I do not know what happens from a specific point on, so keep that in mind while traveling. I can't force my ability to activate.'

'We will keep that in mind.'

On the way through the outskirts of Mondstadt you cross path with a few monsters which are effortlessly defeated by Aether.

At some point you ask him if he could teach you how to wield a sword so that you could be more helpful, but he refused, stating that you shouldn't endanger yourself unnecessarily.

'Hah, traveling with you is already endangering me, so some more danger won't hurt.'

When you reach the Dawn Winery you remember that you didn't get the chance to properly thank Diluc for saving you from the Abyss Mages.

'Could we maybe make a visit there? I owe the owner of the winery something for saving me. Not for long, don't worry.'

'You and Master Diluc know each other?', Paimon asks curiously.

'I had an unfortunate meeting with some Abyss Mages during a midnight stroll. He came to my rescue then. Would it be rude to ask you if you have something that could work as an thank-you-gift? Or I am going to make a dish from where I come from? Yes, that sounds far better. Ok, give me some time and then I will have fresh (F/F)!' (if your favorite food isn't cookable with the possibilities and ingredients in Teyvat just pick a dish that would be possible)

Time passes and the gift is ready. Knock, knock. 'Somebody home?'

A young maid with black hair opens up the doors. 'Welcome. I see, the Honorary Knight came to visit with a friend. Please some inside and I will get Master Diluc.'

'Is it written on our face that we want to meet Diluc?'

You and the blonde-haired male sit down on a comfortable looking sofa inside. 'You are well known... I wonder how many titles you will collect during our journey.'

'I am sure that you will be well recognized too after a while.', Aether adds.

The footsteps coming from above announce that the master of the house is coming.

'Traveler, you came to vi- You? (Y/N), right?'

'Yep yep. (Y/N) in flesh and blood. Sorry for visiting unannounced, but I wanted to give you a small ift to thank you for your kindness. It is not much but it is honest work.', you hand him the plate/bowl/whatever.

'...Thank you. If it is possible, could you stay a bit longer? Our first meeting was quite rushed.'

The calm red eyes stare at you with high expectation.

'We were planning to-'

'Alright, but only for a bit.', you interrupt Aether because you would feel guilty to turn down Diluc.

Aether sighs.

'Then please follow me.'

When Diluc said that he wants you to stay for a bit you didn't expect him to have a whole meal prepared.

'How...'

'Something inside me told me that it would be wise to prepare some more food today. I guess that gut feeling referred to you.', red-haired male states blankly.

Paimon drools. '(Y/N) is the ultimate food compass...'

You smile brightly at the claymore user. 'Thank you for the food Diluc. Though, now my present feels too little...'

Diluc shakes his head. 'Don't worry about it.'

Having finished eating and talking you and Aether stand up and thank everyone for their hospitality.

You awkwardly smile at Diluc. 'Well I guess that's it for now. Maybe we will see each other in the future.'

Because of the fact that the male doesn't answer or react to the statement, the situation grows even more awkward as you don't know what you are supposed to do now.

'(Y/N)? Do you come?', Aether breaks the silence.

'Right... Goodbye Diluc!'

'Goodbye.'

'So he his listening and capable of reacting.'

Outside of the mansion Aether approaches you. 'The food was nice and all, but is it possible that we refrain from visiting him ever again? There is something about his vibes tha...'

You can't hear the rest of the travelers explanation as your surrounding starts to get blurry and moves in ways it shouldn't.

'(Y...,.ou...ay?'

Eventually your consciousness is engulfed by endless darkness and your body hits the ground while numerous panicking people gather around you.

Only one person isn't worried at all because of the events.
