Marinette's POV:

"Plagg? Tikki? What's going on?"

I shake Adrien awake since the kwamis voices didn't wake him.

"What time is it?"

It's 2:28am.

Plagg burts out.

"There's been an akuma attack. Wake up!"

I jump out of bed and Adrien does too.

"Tikki, spots on!"

"Plagg, claws out!"

We jump out of Adrien's window and find the villian.

It's a super easy fight. We're done within 20 minutes and we're back in bed.

"Adrien?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you..Do you ever wish you weren't a superhero?"

He doesn't answer so I turn and look at him, but he's already looking at me.

"Sometimes I think I'm not good enough to be one, but- I wouldn't change a thing. Being Chat Noir is how I fell in love with you and that's the best thing that ever happened to me."

I only smile softly as a response.

"Do you ever wish you weren't a superhero?"

He asks and I answer after a few seconds.

"I used to. When I was younger it was hard. I didn't know how to balance things. And it was stressful. But fighting by your side was always the highlight of my day."

He looks sad.

"What about now?"

"You're still the highlight of my day, Kitty."

He smiles for a split second before him face drops again.

"No- Like- Do you wish you weren't a superhero now?"

"No! Sorry- I didn't mean to imply that, but I wish villains would give us nights off"

We laugh and talk about random stuff until we fall asleep in each others arms for the second time tonight.

...

It's the first day of summer. Alya is picking me up soon. Alya, Nino, Adrien, and I are all going camping for the weekend. I'm super excited especially since Adrien has never been camping before.

I grab all my things and kiss my parents good bye as soon as I see Alya's car pull in.

"Hey girl! You ready for the best trip ever!"

"Yess! Let's go! I don't want to miss the sunset tonight."

Nino dabs me up from the front seat as I sit down behind them.

"You do realize the sunsets in like 9 hours right?"

"Yes- But it's a long ride and we still need to get Adrien."

We chat as we drive the short distance to Adrien's house. He's waiting for us outside with his things when we get there. I get out and throw my arms around him and kiss his cheeks as a desperate greeting.

"Hi kitty."

I say quietly while he hugs me back, picking me up a bit.

"Hi princess."

Our short embrace is cut short by our friends complaints.

"Come on girl, the sun is setting!"
