Brianna sobbed as she scrubbed the tub and walls for the third time. There was no more evidence of what happened the day before, but she did it in hopes that she could possibly clean the scene from her memory.
After Adonis was killed she called the police and then Laura. She had the unfortunate duty of telling his mother that a masked man had killed him while Laura yelled and screamed hysterically. Not actually wanting to see him that way any longer she sat on her bed and stared blankly at the wall as she told the police what happened. Although she was following Bryson for a while she didn't really know him, but the fact that he would do something so careless as shoot Adonis in the head in front of her and calmly walk away made her keep his identity a secret. She couldn't understand how he knew where she lived and more important how did he gain access to her home. Maybe he knew she was following him. She was never one for "bird baths" however she couldn't bring herself to get in that tub no matter how clean it looked. "This is all that spolied bitch fault. I swear to God I'm gonna make her pay!" She hiccuped through tears.

Rain nodded her head as the nurse completed her questions. "Oh and you should call and order your menu for the day." The nurse says as walked out the door. Rolling her eyes she shook her head. She would rather starve than eat that terrible hospital food that tastes like cardboard. A small smile tugged at her lips as she looked down at Bryson and rubbed her hands over his clean cut head. He had fallen asleep on her lap with his hands wrapped around her waist. Her phone rang and vibrated loudly on the side table. She quickly grabbed it and swiped right to answer hoping it didn't disturb Bryson. He was exhausted running around for her and trying to be here for her while taking care of his business and moving states. "Hello" She whispered into the phone, trying to keep her voice down. "I knew she was no good for him, she done got my baby killed." Laura cried hysterically in her ear. "Wait! What? Who? Slow down ma?" Her breathing became heavy, her eyebrows creased and her heart was racing. Her mind was racing, she couldn't be talking about Adonis. "He wouldn't listen to me, he kept going with that sneaky young bitch, and I told him she was no good for him. I should've been more stern about it." Rain shook her head and took a deep breath to calm herself. Laura was talking in circles and it was frustrating, but didn't wanna be harsh because she sounded hysterical. "Calm down mom, I know you're upset, but I can't understand what you're trying to tell me." She urged, while still trying to speak on hushed tones. She frowned as Bryson moved his arm, she hated that this call was interrupting his much needed sleep. "He's dead! They shot Adonis in the head!" Rain mouth dropped open and tears immediately sprang from her eyes cascading down her cheeks. She felt like her heart slammed in her chest. "What?!" She basically screamed. Bryson sprung up from his uncomfortable position and stared at Rai as she grabbed the phone tightly. "He's gone Rai, they killed my baby." Laura cried loudly into the phone. Teegan dropped the phone, put one hand over her chest and the other over mouth. Bryson eyes grew wide when he heard the shrill scream come from her covered mouth and he pulled her into his embrace grabbing the phone at the same time. "Who is this?" At the sound of Brysons voice Laura hung up the phone. "Hello" He hollered into the phone speaker attempting to hear the person's voice before the call was disconnected. Turning his full attention back Rain he heald her close and rubbed circles in her back as sobbed noisily. "Babygirl, talk to me, what's going on?" He tried tilting her head up to look into her eyes, but she pulled away from him leaning back into the bed. "Who was that on the phone?" He could've easily checked the call log, but he wanted her to communicate with him. "Rai, what happened?" His voice was stern and came off more assertive than he planned for it to. "Adonis...got...shot...in...in..the head. He's dead!" She hiccuped in between sobs. Bryson felt his chest tighten, his eye twitched and ground his teeth as his fist clenched. He couldn't believe she was this hysterical over Asonis. "Good!" Rains cries stopped a bit and her chest heaved up and down and she attempted to catch her breath. She squinted her eyes and rolled the covers up in her fist as she tried to gain control. "Why?...why would you say that..he was..." Bryson didn't wanna hear her next sentence and cut her off. "A piece of shit, who did nothing, but make your life a living hell the past year!" He growled staring directly into her swollen eyes "I can't believe you even crying like this over that mutha fucka!" He said between clenched teeth. "The whole reason your here now is because of the stress he constant put you through, and you crying like your life is over." He felt like her pretty manicured hands had a grasp on his heart and was squeezing it. "Putting our baby's life at danger as well." He yelled as he felt his temper rise. "He would never intentionally hurt his child Bryson." She said quietly, still trying to fight the whole she felt growing in her heart. "His child!" Rain eyes grew big and her heart began to race again. "I didn't mean it like that baby." She said softly and reached for his clenched fist. He bit his bottom lip till he felt blood, nodded his head and snatched away from her. Rain sat up and crawled to the end of the bed where he had backed up to and tried to grab his shirt. "Man fuck that, I don't deserve this shit from you." He said loudly and stepped away from her reach. "Bryson please....just..." She began allowing her hand to fall to her side while she sat up on her knees. "Just what? Bryson please what?" He hollered startling her cause her to jump. "Fuck this shit...I'm out" He turned his back on her and walked quickly to the door. "Wait, baby...please...just wait!" She cried as she climbed off the hospital bed. "Why don't you call your baby's grandmother to be here for you so y'all can morn together over her no good as son." He said angrily walking out the door. Rain ignored the cold hard surface of the hospital floor. She would usually teeter on the edge of the bed untill she could slip her feet into her house shoes she insisted on, but she didn't want to waste time on that task. Quickly wobbling to the door she threw it open and looked both ways down the hall until she recognized Brysons back. "Baby, please wait!" She called out loudly. All the nurses rushed to her side thinking she was needing assistance and she tried her best dodging them. Brysons stride faltered when he heard her call out to him. "Bryson! I need you! Please! I love you baby...please." She called out as shrugged her shoulders trying to break free of the 3 nurses that were leading her back to her room. She was on strict rules for bed rest, that's why the doctor insisted on her staying there until she delivered. When she called out to him her voice tugged at his heart and he stopped, slowly turning he shook his head when he saw her struggling with th nurses to get to him. "Take your little ass back in that room and get in the bed." He said not caring that all the staff were watching. Rain began to calm down a bit when she saw him walking back towards her. "I got her" He told the nurses as he picked her up bridal style taking her back into the room. "You so damn stubborn!" He said, hating that it came out so softly. He wanted to keep his anger and hurt her the way she was hurting him, but he couldn't bring himself to be that selfish. As he felt her arms wrap around his neck and her head rest on his shoulder he realized just how much he was gone off of her. "I'm so sorry, please don't leave me, I love you."  He stopped and looked down at her. As if she felt him looking at her she tilted her head to him. He shook his head before kissing her passionately. "I love you too babygirl."
Bryson set Teegan down gently on the bed and pulled the covers up over her. "I'm just gonna make a phone call, I'll be right back ok." He reassured her. She nodded her head wiping at a few tears that were falling down her cheeks. Everything in him screamed to leave right now, but his heart....
