May 4 2012-Steve's POV
Right now Agent Fury's giving a briefing on Loki, what Loki does, what he wants, why he wants it and how he plans on getting it.
"I'd stay with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a Hydra weapon." I tell the group
"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube." Fury replies
If only he saw what those weapons did back in the day.
He talks more about the Tesseract, as well as a group other things, few of which I'm able to understand. I'm walking by the lab when I see Dr. Banner talking to Little Stark, he hits the doctor with a shocker pen on the back of his hip.
"Hey!" I exclaim as I walk through the door
"Nothing?" Little Stark asks the doctor
"Are you nuts?" I ask in a serious tone as I walk closer
"Jury's out. You really have a lid on it, don't you? What's your secret? Mellow Jazz, bongo drums, huge bag of weed?" Little Stark ignores my question
"Is everything a joke to you?" I ask him as I kirk my head to the side
"Funny things." Little Stark replies as he points the buzzy pen towards me
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny, no offense doctor." I say the second part off to the side
"I-I-It's alright, I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle..pointy things." the doctor chuckles
"You're tip toeing big man, you need to strut." Little Stark says to the doctor as he walks around
"And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark." I address him
"You think i'm not? Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all of the variables."
"You think Fury's hiding something?" I ask him as I respect his attentiveness to the situation
"He's a spy..Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets, it's buggin him too.. isn't it?" Stark asks the doctor
"Ahh..mm, I just wanna finish my work here.." Dr. Banner drags out suspiciously
"Doctor?" I ask as i'm tired of the dance around the subject
"'A warm light for all mankind' Loki's jab at Fury about the cube.." he responds
"I heard it." I assure him
"Well..I uh think that was meant for you." Dr. Banner says as he points towards Little Stark
Little Stark holds out a bag of fruit to the doctor who takes the offer.
"Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it would still be all over the news." Dr. Banner carries on
"The Stark Tower? That big ugly..building in New York?" I mention
"It's powered by an arc reactor, self sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for what..a year?" Dr. Banner asks as he adjusts his watch
"It's just the prototype, i'm kind of the name in clean energy right now; it's what he's getting at." Tony assures cockily
"So..why did S.H.I.E.L.D. bring him in on the Tesseract project? What are they doing in the energy business in the first place?" Dr. Banner points out strategically
"I should probably look into that once my decryption program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secure files." Tony leads on
"I'm sorry, did you say-" I guide off
