subject 001 is classified as a monstrous creature resembling the modern doberman pinscher, with the lower body and muzzle of a canine skeleton. it reaches roughly 9 feet in height (274 cm).

after a variety of different tests, 001 has demonstrated that it is dangerously intelligent, able to solve complex tests of sentience and cognitive ability.

it speaks with a deep, rumbling male's voice, despite not possessing stomach muscles, lungs, a voice box, tongue, or lips. it carries a slight accent, however said accent is not able to be identified.

001 insists on being called "Hound", and will express frustration and childlike stubbornness upon being called anything else. it also insists on being referred to as a male, and it will express irritation upon being referred to as anything else, before angrily correcting the speaker.

001 has a very distinct personality. it appears to be quite considerate, and seeks to help other individuals, especially children.

when put in a room with a small child for one hour, 001 politely conversed with the child as if it were holding a conversation with an equally intelligent being, even going as far as to hold a 20-minute discussion on the child's favorite toy.

001 also appeared to be quite affectionate, allowing the child to touch it - even when they ended up tugging on its ears and smacking its face repeatedly. it showed nothing but patience and kindness for the toddler, and got upset when it had to be removed.
