My dearest Summer,

I moved to Boston alone when I was nine. Your grandparents wanted me to settle there as it would be beneficial for my future to be closer to the elites. Their best friends were happy to take me in, and I became close with their son.

We spent most of our time together and soon became inseparable. When his parents decided that he moved to London for his studies, I followed. We went back and forth over the years from London, Italy, and Boston.

And I was happy. I was content with it.

Both our families have been on good terms for generations, and it pains me to have it kept a secret from you. But one day, you will know the truth. One day, you will know the meaning of life. One day, you will find out who you are and live life with the spirit of the bright sun inside you. Shining and vibrant...bringing a glow of love and happiness to each and every soul you touch.

Someday, everything will all make perfect sense.

Mom.
