I peered out the window with my mouth hanging open in awe. The mansion was all concrete with large glass windows to welcome the sun's rays but tinted black to conceal the inside gem. More than a dozen cars were parked on the front lawn, all high-class brands that suggested incredible wealth. A huge tree stood gloriously at the center with lights draped around it, its leafy branches spread wide, providing ample shade to whoever wanted to sit underneath it on a hot day.

I smoothed my palms over the skirt of my dress and inhaled deeply. Victoria helped pick out my outfit a week ago when we decided on an impromptu shopping spree. I was busy searching through chiffon dresses when she handed me a black figure-hugging satin dress with a plunging neckline. It was gorgeous and slightly erotic, but it was nothing compared to her chosen attire for the night; a split thigh ruched velvet cami dress, which was HJ Fashion's Spring Limited Collection a year ago.

A collection that was gathering dust in my closet back in New York.

Victoria's chauffeur stopped the limousine by the main door. A man wearing a black suit and white gloves opened the door for us, greeting us and offering a hand as we stepped out. My eyes traveled up the red carpet that led to the house's entrance.

A young woman who looked to be in her early twenties walked up to us, a pleasant smile spread across her face as she eyed Victoria with familiarity.

"Miss Addams, it's good to see you again," she greeted, her attention quickly moving to me. "And you must be Miss Hale?" she guessed.

I nodded in acknowledgment.

"The young master is expecting you both in the garden."

Victoria looped her arm around mine as we walked up the staircase to the double doors. Inside looked magnificent with its touch of modern, mixed with antique furnishings. A waiter carrying a round tray with champagne approached us, and we immediately grabbed a glass each, clinking it together before taking a sip.
