"I can't do this anymore!" Isaac exasperated, slamming his hands on the table, the frustration apparent in his eyes. "I can't deal with this cold war the four of you are going through!"

"Honey," crooned Victoria.

"Don't even try to charm me."

"Sweetie," I coaxed.

"No!" he shouted in defiance. He pointed at Victoria and Liam with a glare. "You two have been like this for over a month now! And you," he pointed at Gray and me, "I don't know what the hell happened, but you both have been like this for three days!"

"Isaac," comforted Nick, "calm down."

"Can't you guys go back to the playful debates? Because this is just hell to the no. Just kiss and make up already before I lock the four of you in one room with the smell of bacon coming through the vents."

"That's just mean," I noted.

Victoria nodded with exaggeration. "And locking us in one room won't work."

Isaac groaned. "I'm out of here. The sexual tension in this table is too much to handle, and my single heart can't take it."

"There is no sexual tension between us," Liam corrected in a grim voice.

"Yeah, yeah," Isaac waved a hand dismissively. "Keep lying to yourselves. I'll see you guys tomorrow."

He grabbed his bag and walked away.

I let out a breath. Neither of us enjoyed what had become. Victoria and Liam were trying to go back to the way they were before the whole confession happened, but it simply wasn't working out the way we all hoped. Their situation was complicated to handle since family was involved. My situation with Gray, however, was irrational. I had been trying to approach him to apologize, but he was expertly avoiding me. There were a lot of excuses and dismissive shrugging on his end, and I wasn't sure whether he was playing hard to get or if there was something else. And I was leaning on the latter.
