"What are you drinking?" King Ray stares at the corner of Scale's lips which has a white substance stuck there after the aide takes a drink from the bottle he brought. This picture makes it seems like Scale has a white moustache around his mouth. Plain weird.

Noticing King Ray's gaze and the subtle expression on his face, Scale takes a tissue to wipe his mouth calmly, answering politely, "It's soy milk, Your Majesty,"

"Soy milk?" King Ray raises his eyebrows, somewhat surprised, "Something made of soybeans? Why didn't I see the purchase receipt?" when did someone buy the soybeans without his knowledge?

"Because there is no purchase of soybeans, Your Majesty," Scale is very sure of this

"Then, these soybeans..." King Ray narrows his eyes at his aide, "Where did it come from?"

"May-Day, if I have to guess," Scale replies with a serene smile

King Ray stares at his aide for a moment, seeing that the young man does not waver, then sighs,  "What do you think of the variant plants?"

"They are as amazing and wonderful as Miss Flos herself," Scale replies with a bright smile

Knowing that Scale is singing praises to his love interest, King Ray rolls his eyes and adds a point to his question, "Objectively,"

Objectively... Scale will objectively judge the variant plants then, "Dangerous," seeing as King Ray look at him in approval, Scale adds another word, "Unique,"

King Ray wouldn't say the variant plants are unique, just plainly dangerous. However, King Ray wants to listen to Scale's reason for saying they are unique, so he keeps quiet and waits for Scale to explain his choice of words.

"Variant plants are just like variant beasts, a creature driven mostly by instincts," Scale recovers his gaze from King Ray to continue working whilst he speaking, "However, Miss Flos's variant plants do not move solely on instincts, nor do they move solely on orders. Miss Flos's variant plants have a mind of their owns, which makes them seemingly sentient," and that's what makes them unique

King Ray also drops his gaze as he thinks about what Scale says. It is, indeed, weird, to have such behaving variant plants. Not even pets that have been around humans for a long time will be so docile. Of course, there are exceptions.

"How did that young miss grow those variant plants?" King Ray can't figure this out. Normal people raised normal flowers. Who is this Flos, to raise a group of variant plants? Well, King Ray knows now that young miss from the countryside is not normal. Her mysterious background, her unknown heritage, and her unusual power.

Trailing his gaze to the other person, King Ray ponders on what it means for his aide to be so fond of that young miss.

"Your Majesty," no longer can ignore the stare from the King, Scale pats the stack of papers on his desk and asks for his Boss to get back to work, "What do we do with the things confiscated from these Nobles?"

"Sell them," King Ray has no intention to retain anything belonging to his relatives, no matter the worth of these so-called treasures, "Sell them to other Kingdoms," the farther, the better

Scale likes this idea, "I will contact people from the Kingdom of Star," the merchants from the Kingdom of Star always give generous offers for the trade, "I will set up an auction," to raise the prices of the items

King Ray nods his head in approval. Then, both of them get back to categorising the items that have been listed. It's always exciting to work extra hard for money.

Planting seeds is hard work.

Flos sits at the bench that she put aside on the 1st day of work and watches idly as Rhythm guides his apprentices to plant the flower seeds on the ground. The rain has passed and the sun is shining brightly, Oh, how Flos wish to have something to drink at this moment.
